The backbone of every smart ring is Bluetooth technology. Bluetooth is a close-range wireless technology that allows any two Bluetooth-enabled devices to communicate with each other as far away as 328 feet (100 meters)

Bluetooth is considered a low-power technology, but it still needs juice, so smart rings must contain some type of battery that can be recharged using a docking station or a wireless recharging pad.

It could be also built on PiezoElectricity , and that's a big possibility regarding its cheap price . 15$ to an end user doesn't mean it will cost more than 5 ...

                      No need battery charging..................charges wirelessly......

                      Reference:
                      1. Each group of chip is equipped with wireless receiving module, which can rapidly acquire the electromagnetic wave energy of the read-write equipment and efficiently turn it into electricity the chip needs, and then drive each chip to work properly.
                      2. It can make you forget the recharging and wiring harness, and use it at any time.

It would be interesting if you can acquire a schematic of any of those , wherever their labels , as you go deep into . The Apple one says it needs a power source , so what's with apple ... Lost their jobs after jobs ?, lol ..

Anyway , i'm interested as it could be a new item in our Lebanese markets , at popular scale i mean .

I think the biggest distance achieved is about 15 cm for NFC.
