    That would be a pain if this IC were really only available in China. It might be an off-the-shelf part available from Mouser or DigiKey with a different number stamped on it. This company seems to carry them:

      References on Google point to a company called RichTek\CheerTech which seems to be a Taiwanese\Chinese company so I am not surprised if you can only get it from China.

        America II: request a quote. Yikes.

        Ebay to the rescue. I got 10 chips for 4.50$ shipped. Will take 2 weeks, but I have other projects to keep me busy...
