Hi i have an inverter board that i want to hack to only use 2 of the outputs.
I know i can use a resistor at each end to fool one output but thought i would pick some brains to see if i could isolate one end and use the other .
Not something i have tried before, repaired loads and replaced parts etc but this would be a new learning curve .
And yes i know i could buy a 2 lamp unit but where would be the fun in that

I have attached pics and a sheet for the controller ic .

In case you were wondering why? the new screen only has 2 lamps and not 4

Try lifiting one end of the jumper that control the MOSFET Gate, this inverter uses Royer Osc type setup.

Just got around to trying that and it didn't work gives me a 2 sec to black effect

That means we have to disable the sensing line that telling the PWM IC that the lamp did not fired up and stay conduct.
You can try grounding this point to ground with 100 Ohms resistor, or use 1K or more to pull it up with the B+ feeding the board. Need to look at the spec sheet of the pwm IC to find out what kind of sensing signal needs to be and also find out which pin this sensing line is connected to.
