Help identify some transistors

I recently got a 'surprise box' (a box of random parts), and I found a couple of each of these transistors inside which I cant figure out what they are.

The first one, is a TO-92 made by fairchild.
line 1: F (fairchild symbol)
line 2: 21L4
line 3: 9904

The second one, is an old looking TO-220 made by NEC.
line 1: NEC-929
line 2: 430604
line 3: JAPAN

The third one is again made by NEC, TO-220 package.
line 1: NEC-920
line 2: 430604
line 3: JAPAN

What do you guys think?

BTW, I also got some ancient looking TIP32's, some MPS750's, some 2N3904's, ALOT of IRFZ44N mosfets (load tester anyone?! ), and some 2SA1048's.

Fourth, is a TO-220 made by TI.
line 1: (TI symbol here) 8432
line 2: EL SALVADOR
line 3: 660570
line 4: 61047

Fifth, is a TO-220 made by National.
line 1: (Old national logo here) 8436
line 2: 660570
line 3: 61048

Sixth, is a TO-220 made by National.
line 1: (Old national logo here) 8420
line 2: 660570
line 3: 61048

Seventh, is a TO-220 made by National.
line 1: (Old national logo here) 8428
line 2: 660570
line 3: 61048

And last, is a TO-220F. I am not sure who made this one.
line 1: 178
line 2: M07T
line 3: 817 H17

I did spend some time searching for the first lot but prob only in the same places as you- I have heard that digikey are quite helpful if you ring and say I've got this XXX but dont know what to replace it with they might come up with some info. Wouldnt go with a list though try over time.
I did once have a book that listed obsolete semiconductors - perhaps your library has one?

Go on Mouser.com and take a look. Their website has everything along with obsolete parts on there! I have found stuff that Digi-key did not.
