Whats B standing for?

Once again found some strange marking: B.

It looks like wire inside a ferit cylinder, in other words an inductor. Is that just a manufacturers weird marking?

Pics plz or something? Wire in a ferrite could be anything. It could be house marking for seize or it could be "A" half and "B" half. But without more info saying its an engine would even qualify as a good guess

I think I've also seen the prefix "FB", which I presume stands for ferrite bead. It was the same component as you described.

So basicly inductor, for supresing spikes etc., right?

Those are not actually inductors. They look just like inductors, but there is no coil inside them. They are used for noise suppression, just like the ferrite beads on the ends of cables.
