fake-o-rama. They look resleeved. I'd love to see some dissection pics of those to find out what they really are

oh no its the bullseye bung again. i'd say they are resleeved crapxons as i've seen crapxon using the bullseye bung and the + vent is also used by crapxon. teapo uses a mercedes benz vent with three additional notches in the center.

If I was a betting man I would say that those are only 10 to 16 Volts rated.

Lots of caps use that bung style. I have some I.Q (OST) caps with the same bung. These fake caps won't be relabeled caps from a well-known manufacturer.

Nichicon website indicates a much lower impedance than you are measuring.

I talked to the supplier and was refunded.

I think it looks ok, would they hold up to 25V?

don't "speculate" anything over/about those fakes

Get the real deal from Mouser or Digikey.

Try and see. They might hold up to full voltage indeed. But with counterfeit caps, you never know.

That said, if you do try them, I don't suggest you do it with anything you care for, and certainly not as a repair (not even temporary). Cheap caps like these may be only useful for breadboard projects - at least that's how I re-use them (extra filtering on the power lines).

By the way, another "fun" way to check ESR is to charge the cap to full voltage and then short-circuit its leads. Given that this is a 25V 4700 uF cap, you should get quite a bit of sparking and popping when you do that. If you don't, the ESR is too high.

And yes, they are definitely fakes... though it's a moot point saying that after everyone already has.

                                      Exactly.
Trying to guess which crap cap manufacturer made these is pointless. Whether it's CapXon or Jun Fu or G-Luxon... it's all the same, since none of them are good .
