    Having a good week.

    Well, I am having a good week. I recently got hooked up with a local recycler guy, and have been getting a lot of repair work from him. I have earned his trust, to get to all the good stuff, not the junk that he thoughs out to most people. I have fixed 5 highend Laptops, and some monitors for him so far. Now he tells me he is going to bring me a load of 20 monitors that are all 17's and above. I get a 1 for 1 cut of the repaired ones, it is work but seems far to me.

    anyways, hope everyone else is having a good week.

              and good deal on getting the job! i have 3 recycler guys i work with like that.one just left some goodies.
              last week he gave me a pile of ham gear.

                          uhm.. pcbonez.. there was a spampost as #2 .. which already got deleted.
                          had a link to one of those "watch free hollywood movies" sites in the sig..

                          would be better if spamposts would be deleted leaving the "deleted post" message there to avoid confusion like this...

                                              uhm.. guys.. the 2nd post in this thread used to be a spambot post just saying "thanks for this thread." and having links to spam websites in the signature. KC deleted that post, but didn't delete the 2 following one's referring to the spampost, causing this confusion here.

                                              that's what i meant.
                                              and thats also why i think mods deleting posts shouldn't remove it completely, but leave the "deleted post" message there..

                                                              I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

                                                              I would like a quite old but still good 800 W ATX PSU to be repaired. The problem was an extremely heavy coil whine coming from the small secondary transfomer on the PCB.

                                                              I desoldered it hoping the references on the upper side would allow me to find a adequate replacement part. Sadly the written references drove me nowhere but to the manufacturer (I-MAG). I sent them a message like a bottle in the see asking them to send me a datasheet of the transformer. And... They responded ! I received a kind of datasheet (see attachment) but my competencies do not allow...

                                                              I did a cell salvage run on some Dyson batteries to build out a new fleet of Milwaukee batteries and the yield was a lot higher than expected, so I now have a lot of extra Sony VTC4s that are in reasonably good health. I'd like to build them into power banks, there's a glut of shells for 18650s on AliExpress but I don't know which are any good (read: won't explode). Can anyone recommend some (especially the ones that just fit a single cell)? Weld or weldless are fine, I have a spot welder

                                                              I suppose USB-PD and/or quick charge would be desirable too
