Firefox will not display ebay properly.

Firefox will not display ebay properly.

    No help on Firefox forum.

When I click on a saved ebay bookmark Firefox will display the auction at the bottom of the page not the top plus the page has lots of errors.
Below is an example of one of the errors.

“Please enter a quantity of $qty_dummy$ or less Please enter a quantity of 1 Purchases are limited to $qty_dummy$ per buyer Please enter quantity of 1 or more Please enter a lower number Choose quantity that is less than $qty_dummy1$ or equal to $qty_dummy$ You can only choose quantity
    that is equal to $qty_dummy$”

Internet Explorer will display ebay with no problem but all of my bookmarhs are in firefox.

The same thing happened last month and using Disk Clean Up and deleting Firefox History seamed to fix the problem but not this time.

This is on an old XP machine with Firefox 48.0.2.

Firefox says my computer is too old to go past 48.0.2.

I have cleared every thing I know how to clear.

You need to switch to the ESR channel to possibly get any updates. Google "Firefox ESR" for the links to show up.....

For the 4th time trying, Disk Clean Up, Firefox History clear and Internet Options Browsing History deleted seams to have worked.

No telling what is really going on with this old computer.

              Thanks.

Maybe time to switch to a lightweight linux distro with up to date chromium browser that supports 32 bit machines (assuming your computer is 32 bit)?

I use Lubuntu with chromium on my remaining 32 bit netbooks.

Hmm... Firefox 45.8.0 on Linux here, and it works fine.
                  Reboot router too?

Why for gods sake would you use an operating system that doesn't get any security updates for over 3 Years?!
Especially since this OS wasn't known for its security...

Use a modern Linux distribution or update to Windows 7.

i can confirm that as long as you dont need to connect any "custom" hardware with special drivers to the usb or parallel ports then Linux will usually not just run your existing software, but run it faster than in xp.

I've noticed that in FF and WF 51 and up, load time is stupid long. Loads the window quickly....then will herk & jerk for a good 30~45 seconds before it unfucks itself....does this on a variety of systems & configs. Quite annoying.

Does it say "Waiting for X..." on the bottom left bar when that occurs?

If it does, it means a Firefox bug, the server has a database issue or a server hardware malfunction...

For me, it may have not hung that long, but with Firefox 2.x, it easily would sit at "Waiting for X..." for easily about 10 seconds on many sites!

I was hoping that bug wasn't back... It was there with Firefox 2, way back in the classic-bad-cap-LCD-monitor era...

I was hoping that bug wasn't back... It was there with Firefox 2, way back in the classic-bad-cap-LCD-monitor era...

I found that the extensions are the major part of the start up "hang up". Privacy Badger is the worst for me, though I should test without greasemonkey (though greasemonkey is usually disabled, at least when I'm not running any scripts.)

Most recently, (Even though I'm using Pale Moon 27.3.0 now.) I got a complete browser hang, Windows 7 displays ring of doom and Windows 7 says "(Not responding)" or similar. Don't you hate those kind of hangs???

Sometimes, Firefox generally has problems when you are downloading files then you quit Firefox. Probably, the browser hangs because of corrupted places database. To solve it, you must create a new places database.

                                          Hi everyone.
Lenovo Thinkpad E14 Gen 3, stuck on the "To interrupt normal startup, press Enter" screen.
Found a lot of people with this issue, but with no definitive answer. Some people managed to get away accessing BIOS, going to Startup and turning off "Option Key Display". For me that only removed the interrupt normal start up message, leaving only the Lenovo logo.
Most people say hitting Enter does not work. It's true, if you wait a few seconds. But if you hit Enter right away you get the options to enter BIOS (which works), run diagnostics (goes to a...

Backlight strip quality, Amazon vs Ebay vs ShopJimmy. Is there really a difference?

                                          Hello everyone!

Recently I've noticed that some ShopJimmy backlight strips don't have double-sided tape installed upon them when an application calls for it, and I must purchase the tape separately. In a recent chat conversation with a customer service agent I told them if this tape wasn't applied when it was called for I would begin to consider ordering my backlight strips elsewhere. It looks like this time may have come.

I recently got a TCL 65S4 with bad backlights. After looking at the SJ listing here: https://www.shopjimmy.com/tcl-jl-d65...365as-m-led-ba...

I ordered a few broken motherboards from ebay but i have found out that there are many scammers on ebay. Now that I have your attention:

In the last few days, it looks like Firefox has changed their software terms so they are now evil and WILL sell your data.

I already use Palemoon for Win7 sometimes. Looks like I'll be switching to librewolf as well, as Youtuber Louis Rossman suggests. Palemoon still supports Win7, but sometimes pages don't work properly. The Google Chrome browser might also still work for Win7.

I will have no choice but to upgrade my Firefox, so that I can copy dozens of tabs into a document or spreadsheet, or go through the history to...
