you are right. Also, i found the picture of the same chip on google, and it has the same first three letters FAE, the others are different. But, that didtn help me to identify it. ASUS ROG G733ZS no rsmrst#
I cant find any asus schematic with intel cpu+pch integrated for this model in title or similar, the only available are for ryzen models. Only boardview is available for this and link is below.
The problem with this laptop is no rsmrst# signal. all basic signals and power rails are present ecrst, 3valw, 5 valw...Asus board have a automatic start so i get pch around 39C, but without this rsmrst# signal there is no point. I tried few other bioses to instal but same. Resistence on the board seems all fine. I suspect dead pch but wont to be sure. If anyone have any idea what to check... -

hello to everybody i need help. It is a laptop screen from the title and i dont usually fix them (only laptop and desktop motherboards) but i decided this time i will try and i need your help.
The laptop had shorted 19v main line that goes directly to this lcd with blown fuse on the motheroboard. I believe that somebody tried to check something with battery plugged and now we have what we have. On the laptop motherboard i replaced the fuse and laptop is now working but this screen is a problem.
In the attachment i am sending you what led board looks like in two parts. I marked with... -
maybe i am not seeing good but on the first picture that gpu ram seems blown? also right of that ram i can see mosfet also burned? But maybe its just bad picture...but it is cleary someone worked on that area because there is discoloration and you can see cooper in that area.Leave a comment:

HP AD_ID PIN understanding how it works
So, i have a HP LAPTOP that needs central pin of the specific voltage to be recognized by ite chip as original and correct wattage. My laptop needs around 19v volt and 7 a charger (135 W) and i attached from the schematic Adapter select for EC. The thing is i have only 200 w HP adapter. When i connect it the power led is not showing any light and output on AD_ID 0,56 V. According to the schematic if i replace resistor R5115 17,8k with 100 k resistor, will my laptop work? is that only thing i have to do to be able to power it on with my higher watt adapter?

It could be gpu or something else.. First check if it is gpu.... when laptop is stuck at the logo try caps lock on/off...if lights turns on/off then your laptop is ok but gpu is dead. If you can not turn it on/off then something else is wrong and it will be very difficult to find, because when loading windows the windows will stuck for many reasons, maybe not working memory, try checking memory connectors on the board, semi dead pch, cpu, or any of the chip on the board...very hard to find.Leave a comment:

ASUS PG27U MONITOR
First, i dont work on monitors only on laptops and that also for a hobby. So, i received this monitor in the title and it was completely dead, and power supply when used was going off to a power protection. I found that one of the voltage regulators for backlight GS9238 is dead, so i replaced it and monitor is working fine now. But...on the main motherboard first thing i tested was a main power rail and after power jack there is one mosfet Nikos PD537BA. The thing is when i tested all pins of that mosfet are shorted in between. Now when i plug the adapter the monitor just goes on. I dont think... -
Battery completely discharged
This Lenovo laptop is like new, used once and then was not used for three years. Laptop is working fine but the battery is not charging. When i measure with multimeter while charger plugged in, the voltage on battery connector jumps to 15 vol to 0,8 vol, then again 15 vol to 0,8 and so on. Left it over night but same thing. When battery removed it shows 0.00 vol on battery. I was thinking to use lab power supply to try to revive it but i must say that i have a little experience with fixing batteries and that i never tried to charge this long dead battery that shows 0.00 vol. I thought i once... -
Looping is fine if you removed bios battery, the system is trying to read the bios and adjust some seetings, and that probably means that cpu is ok also. I dont know if this model has integrated gpu. Try this, after laptop makes several boots try pressing caps lock key on keyboard...if you see light goes on and off then your cpu is fine and you have a problem on gpu area.Leave a comment:

That is the exact reason why I also don't work with lenovo boards, either fixing them or using them for donors. If someone do know how to remove it he probably enjoying and keeps it to himself...There are some videos on youtube claiming they done it..but it seems fake.Leave a comment:

The problem with this laptop was dead pch. I replaced it but had two problems ..first, on startup the screen would turn on after 10 seconds and when try to shutt it down it would hang on shutting down but would not shutt it down( restart was ok). Now i used that bios with cleaned ME and copied my bios data with hex editor ....and now laptop is shutting down without problems but when powering on laptop i still have to wait like 8 seconds to...Last edited by SMDFlea; 11-13-2023, 05:37 AM.Leave a comment:

i dont like semi working laptops because it is very hard to find a fault.
This laptop is working in bios with no problems regarding graphic card there is no flickering and so on. But when i insert installed nvme disk or usb stick with windows installation it just freezes on apple logo and that white circle. So, i was thinking its probably gpu but...i also noticed that when it freezes it stays one and the caps lock light is not turning on/offf anymore...I could turn it on/off in bios or on startup but not any more. So it seems it is not posting after trying windows load...but that means...
