    COMMAND Prompt Win7

Today I was checking my son's PC and opening CMD window I saw that the backslash character is wrong, instead of

    C:\WINDOWS\system32>

    it is

    C:¥WINDOWS¥system32>

As far as I saw it seems to work properly but I'd like to bring it back to classic backslash symbol.

My son said he didn't changed anything... and I don't know where to look.
Google didn't bring me any useful info but maybe I'm not able to serch the right word.

    Ciao

Thanks vinceroger69, probably is something like that, my son plays a lot with PC and probably has messed up with something in setting. Now he is sleeping and I can't switch on PC, next days I will check and let you know.

I searched but using only backslash brought me only useless pages... I didn't thought to use also Yen ;-)

              win7 home iso? can I get 10?
              by eccerr0r
Well I think that I have a GTX660Ti that's dead but I think I should give it one last try with its original OS and drivers: win7 home premium. While I can't stomach using win* of any type (I'm 100% Linux these days) I think I have to give benefit of the doubt to drivers, etc.

So... I have the original CoA for Win7 home premium and it's an OEM license. And I have the whole computer that the GTX660Ti came in (it was reportedly working too), minus the original hard drive, what could I download and run the machine temporarily to verify the GTX660Ti works with Windows or not?

              USB problems?
              by Hondaman
Recently I discovered my SSD died (OCZ/Toshiba 240 GB). It was in a USB enclosure, attached to the Linksys WRT-AC1200 router. Since then I removed the USB enclosure and attached it to my Win7 PC (AMD 8150 CPU, 970 chipset, 64 GB RAM). I also gathered one or two other USB enclosures to figure out what is going on.

(I suspect that I lost quite a few MP3 and FLAC files I recently ripped from my audio CDs, I think I lost very little un-replaceable stuff.)

I think it is IMPOSSIBLE for Win7 to have any problems with a USB enclosure as long as Win7 knows how to speak to the...

Reset/erase Hynix SC210 to factory default
              by pfrcom
Some Googling made this seem straightforward, but it ain't necessarily so:

First try was Hynix Drive Manager, supposed to be able to do PSID reset

In Win7 x86 context, what shoddy software – this greeted me first time I clicked it from Start menu:

After wild goose chase triggered by the OpenGL bit, I tried swapping graphics cards until penny dropped when it still objected to a Radeon HD3450

              How I got it work:

              1. Command prompt
              2. Change to install directory \Program Files\SK Hynix Drive Manager
              3....

              Backup to USB drive
              by Hondaman
Okay, I fixed my USB problems discussed in another thread. Now I would like to back up some files. I bought a USB enclosure and a 2 TB SSD (I should have saved $50 and bought one without cache, but I bought the more expensive Samsung EVO 570 instead).

I seem to prefer Linux Mint, although I could probably use Microsoft Backup for Windows 7. I think it still exists. Here's what I did with Mint 18.3 tonight:

              Code:
              cp * -pR "/mnt/win7-drive/users/mike/My Pictures/" "/mnt/usb-enclosure/My Pictures"
              and

              Code:
              cp * -pR "/mnt/iwn7-drive/users/mike/My
              ...
