    P2P Issues

I have not been using any of the 2P2 networks for a few years now. Yesterday I tried "Kaaza." What a POS!. All it did was fill my PC with Spyware. After I uninstalled it I still ended up with ten extra running processes and I have no idea what they are doing! Next I tried my old favorite "LimeWire," and it was worse yet! LimeWire tried to rewrite my Xp regestry. My Ad-Aware logged over 5,000 attempts in thirty or forty seconds. I uninstalled the LimeWire and now my PC is sick. Add on proggies like Nero and MagicDVD do not work at all. It also takes the PC forever to shutdown now. So if you want to play with these P2P services be ready to reprogram your PC just like I'll be doing shortly!

There is a fifth dimension, beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone.

utorrent is awesome. I use utorrent and I've never been happier. Limewire is also another favourite of mine and works well most of the time. Kazaa is total shit because I had to reformat my PC after installing it.... it fille my PC up with spyware, viruses etc.

          emule and utorrent.
giganews is ridiculous to me; you pay for pirated stuff.
          it makes no sense.
          although yeah, it's faster.

but even with longest retention possible you still can't find everything you can on p2p.

            eMule wins, hands down.
No spyware, no problems and unlike uTorrent (any torrent) it does not reveal you IP.

Only one drawback for new users - speed is directly proportional to the number of credits that come from others downloaded anything from you. Hence new user = relatively poor speed...

Then eMule isn't good then! Because it looks like a fair amount of ISPs have about a 5 GB per-month total limit!

So eDonkey may penalize me for not exceeding my monthly total!

And DC is worse! Some servers will deliberately disconnect you unless you pretty much exceed the ISP monthly total limits! Thus, catch 22!

I use Shareaza for a long time, I can't remember exactly, but for some years and I have never had a single problem.
