0X00000024 I recieve this message on an HP computer as I was loading a program the mains went off and now I get this.I don't have a disc XP is there anything I can do.

You will need an Windows XP cd in order to run the Recovery Console that has the checkdisk command. Your files are screwed up from the power loss. Borrow one from a friend if you can.Originally posted by tva View Post -

Please check HP Hard Drive Native Mode Configuration in BIOS Setup.
1. GOTO BIOS ROM Setup by pressing F10 key on keyboard.
2. Goto Advanced Tab and select On Board Devices.
3. Change the Valeu of SATA Hard Drive Native Mode from Enable to Disable.
4. After Disable the value save and exit from BIOS Setup. and continue to boot from Windows XP CD.
Let me know if it fix.
