    need help identifying this cap

    Could anone identify this cap?
    may be an Sanyo WG?
The pic isn`t from me, so no pics of vents or other markings are possible.

It has a honeycomb went so yes it could be a Sanyo, their larger caps does not have the K vent...

Though I've never seen anything but Green Sanyos and especially not on the WG series...

Re: need help identifying this cap

Yes that cap is somhow strange, but may be i need some 3300uf 16V caps for an ECS nForce4-A939 board.
This board has 4 3300uf 16v Ost caps as vrm I/P caps.
And the only thing in that region i could obtain is that particular cap.
But i need the ripple rating for it.
May be ECS has only used that capacity to archive the ripple current rating.
Therefore i may be safe to use some MCZ 1500uf or some KZG 2200uf. Some 2200uf 16v MBZ and FC are availiable too.

All other nv4 939 motherboards have only some 1000 to 2200uf 16v caps there.

It is NOT Sayno WG. I guess it is a fake Sanyo caps. Where you get this picture?

Well thx for all the reply, i think willawake hase got the right answer. The pic is from the online shop system of an smaler elektronic shop in Germany. And they sell a lot diferent capacitors from difrent brands. They haven`t the complet offering from one manufacturer. And this makes it somhow dificult to choose the right caps. They don`t state the manufakturer, but most caps are easily identified by the markings.
But as they sell many jamicon caps it could be that.

But the spec of that caps isn`t that good. It has only 2,6a ripple current for that size. A MCZ with 1500uf could reach easily 2,770a.

What is your opinion on that Jamicon cap? With the generall purpose caps and the high temp caps from Jamicon i have no bad experience. But never have seen any low esr typ from them.

Jamicon WG in my addtronics psu

the specs are worse than panasonic fc. MCZ is not available in so high capacitance so no point comparing them. they would probably be fine on mobo, definitely ok in psu

we have seen some bad jamicons here i believe but i would not place them very high on the list of crap. those WG in my addtronics have been fine for a few years.

most bad jamicon i have seen were in bestec emachines psu.
bestec are cheap crap psu that kill mobo's.

2.6A for a 1500uF, 16v low-ESR cap is not bad at all - and I haven't seen a single bulging large Jamicon. You should have no problems with that cap in a PSU or VRM I/P, especially when four are used in parallel.

                      2.6A for the 4700uf 16v actually. 1500uf 16v not available, only 1000uf 16v (0.076 ohm, 1.16A) or 2200uf (0.043, 1.89A).

                      4700uf 16v is also 16x40 dimensions !!!

Sorry, my mistake. However, 2.6A for 4700/16 is not bad - you can certainly use it on most PSU +12v rails, even better if paralleled. It's perfectly OK for VRM I/P caps.

well, there is enouhg space for those buggers, but at the moment i am a bit unshure why ECS hase choosen those big caps. If they done this only to fit the needed ripple and esr specs it should do no harm tho use some lower capacity caps with a lower esr and higher ripple rating.
I have something like MBZ, FC or MCZ with 1500uf or 2200uf in mind.
But anyhow, as this systems had built in a MSI gf6600gt i don`t know exaclty which komponent to blame for the sporadic freezes right now.

Hey all I've been working on a 1984 Sanyo 27" color TV which had a smattering of bad caps in the video switching circuit. I found this oddball little 1uF 25V cap which looks to me like an early polymer, but I can't find concrete info proving it. I know Sanyo was a big player in early polymer cap development and this is the time period where they were just getting on the market, so I'm wondering if anyone has crusty old datasheets that could help identify it and determine if my suspicions are right? It has the same epoxy end seal and font/formatting as some old stock Os-Cons I've got laying...

                              Hi all,

                              I'm working on a MacBook Pro A2338 M1 (2020) with logic board 820-02020.

The machine has a power issue — not powering on, and I'm trying to trace the fault.

While inspecting the board, I found a cluster of components

This area looks damaged or burned — there are about 4–5 components that seem affected

I've attached a close-up photo of the chip and its surrounding area (see...

                              Hi everyone
I have a 70mai Dash Cam A510 which failed after about 3 months of being installed in my car, likely due to heat, i got it from aliexpress so no point in trying to return it for warranty (and shipping it back would cost me almost the same as a new one from ali)
The camera would boot loop showing 70mai logo on the screen, sometimes it would boot fine then the live view would freeze or display purple lines

I already took it apart, and found out that the camera boots fine if i unplug the camera module from the main PCB, sometimes "playing" with the connector...
