Re: Heres the deal.
They will be marked with ???UF which is the capacitance. They will have 85c or 105c for the temp range. Usually have a series FC, Fm , Hm, etc. You would want to try to match that series or upgrade it. Then you have the voltage rating which is how many volts it can handle. I didn't figure to take the whole tv in to geek squad. Just the board with the bad caps.
I saw the 105c; GL 105c...Comment

Dude.. This is the first time I have ever looked inside of a TV, I appreciate the help but maybe try to scrape off a layer of attitude... I tried not to touch those things because I didnt know if it was okay too... I didnt know if they were all different sizes on purpose.. Thats why I'm here is cuz I dont know (as if it weren't obvious).Comment

I fixed a Samsung very similar to this with bad caps:
https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=9651
Samsung seems to be the most plague ridden name brand in the last few years. Most of my threads I have started on BCN are about Samsung products! Which is a shame because their products seems well built. They just keep cutting corners on the caps.Comment

Re: Heres the deal.
Yea, I was just looking.. it seems there are 5 caps I need to replace.. Should I replace them all.. I was looking at both the FC and FM series... does it matter which one I use.. I dont understand all the Related Voltage Range, and the Normal Cap range.. If I'm looking for similarity the FC series seems to be closest to the spec of the GL Capxon caps I have now....Comment

Re: Heres the deal.
Like bluto says, replace them all. It's only a couple $ for the others also. Better than the tv messing up again in the future to see the other caps bloated. Good luck with the NROTC. The Marines are always looking for a few good men cause they haven't found any yet. haha. Just kidding. Navy and Marines always kidded each other, but worked well together.Comment

by capwizardHow to deal with huge LCD screen when we are replacing the TV LED backlight?
Does anyone have a better way to deal with 70-inch TV or above LCD screens which are very easy to break when we change the LED backlight?
I'd broken 10 TV screens already.
One of my friend has 75 inch edge TV with one LED not working. I said : just leave it alone.
Is there a better way to ensure that the LED TV screen will not break? I need 100%. I can't afford the Robot either. -
by AustinCERHello, I currently have a Dell XPS 8940 in our office for repair.
Service Tag: HG1Y673
The most recent BIOS is pictured below -- being available as an .exe on Dell website.
Needed a new motherboard due to power surge. The motherboard replacement was installed and upon power up it was booting to a display message - Manufacturing Mode Active -
Have not dealt with this issue before or what the proper steps are. I booted to the BIOS and manually entered the Service Tag, but upon each reboot -- the service tag is wiped and shows the Manufacturing Mode display message,...4 Photos-

by jordanaudio1Trying to learn electronics repair as a hobby. I have no formal training in electronics, circuits, etc. Everything I know, which isn't much, has been learned from watching youtube videos, reading books, forums, etc. This means, sometimes I have a hard time understanding and interpreting what's important when I look at datasheets, and such.
My brother has a TV that I'm working on now. He said he was watching it, he heard a loud pop and it went off. I used my DMM to check the fuse, it was blown. From watching lots of hours of electronics repairs on youtube, I figured that was just a...07-07-2025, 07:38 PM -
