"I" is always spelled in uppercase.
Samxon "GR" is always spelled in uppercase.
"PSU" is always spelled in uppercase.
"Can i use i to recap psu?" is not a proper sentence.

"I am" is shortened as "I'm", not "Im".
There is no such thing as a 330u capacitor, it is a "330uF" capacitor.

There, anything else I can help you with?

I want to know whether a SamXon GR 330uF 35V capacitor is suitable for use in a PSU!

Does Samxon ever capitalize the X, I think that is only CapXon. J/K :P

                "That's".

Have you looked up the spec sheets for the GR series? While I don't know the answer to your question, you'd probably need to know the specs for the series as well as the location (which circuit) in the power supply you will be using it in.

I dont know the spec sheet. And the numbers wouldnt mean mch to me. Are GR caps low esr?

Unless I'm blind (which isn't totally out of the question), I don't see a GR series from Samxon:

There is such thing as a CapXon GR (). It looks like CapXon GR = CapXon GS.

CapXon and Samxon sometimes share series names (I have a feeling that they are somehow related). If CapXon GS = SamXon GS, then it is an 85*C cap. These are always general purpose and not for PSU use.

My theory could be worng, though, so wait for someone more experienced like PCBONEZ or Toasty to chime in.

Also, shovenose, could you post a picture of the cap?

That will be fine. Most PSU caps in the secondary aren't ultra low ESR and they don't need to be. Most are typically a more 'general purpose' 105* cap. Using ultra low ESR caps in some PSU's can cause strange behavior. Samxon GT and RS series I've found to be ideal for PSU's.

The only way you'll know is by tracking down the spec sheet for the original cap that has failed. Not knowing that, I wouldnt have any idea.....but of the many many hundreds of PSU's I've recapped, I don't foresee it being a problem.

Can I replace KME cap with Samxon GF cap?

                                          Hello.
I have 29inch LG CRT TV,And Yesterday,Whenever I connect AC power cord to power outlet without switch on, I heard a sound like white noise, And When I switched on this CRT TV, It sometime displayed correctly But usually It won't last more than 20 minute and The screen begin to dark and It finally did not display at all for hours..
Today,I dismantled its plastic case and discharged the biggest capacitor(400wv 470uf) which still holds 250 voltage, and I finally detached PCB from cathode-ray tube.
I measured ESR value of most of caps in PCB with MESR-100 and I found that KME(25v...

                                          Hello,

I am not sure where exactly to put this thread, so hopefully this is the best place.

I have a USB fan that has suddenly been unable to increase its speed. It's just stuck on the first speed. This fan has 3 speed settings. Each time you press the power button, the speed of the fan should increase.

The way the button works with each press is: Speed 1 > Speed 2 > Speed 3 > OFF

Speed 2 and 3 don't currently work any more.

I suspect the issue might be with what looks to be some kind of driver IC. It is a 16-pin...

                                          Hi all,
                                          I need your advice.
-SAMXON 2200uf 50V tested 0.00 esr on Dick Smith Blue Esr meter and 2027 ohm on FLUKE 179 multimeter.
                                          -Is this esr reading realistic?
                                          Thank you
