Tdsystems K40dlt3f Panel V400HJ6-PE1 REV C2 short circuit no image

good evening. I have put the panel model, because it is a generic Chinese tv. The symptoms are the following: The rear light turns on, but there is no image, 12v arrives at the tcon integrated in the panel. I have made measurements of vgl, vgh and vaa. They are not present but they all act as rectifiers except for vaa, which is shorted. my questions are. Do you know any quick method to know the capacitor that is shorted without having a laboratory source? How could I know the value of the capacitor once extracted? I can't find schematics for this panel. a greeting

test them with multimeter for shorts or very low ohms, just put a probe on each end of capacitor, if you have a meter that beeps in continuity mode and you get a steady beep its shorted, meter not the type that beeps no worries, if its very close to 000 its shorted, one bad cap can make the rest read short also.

Thank you very much for answering. I already did that, the problem is that there are several short-circuits in the Vaa area. but I don't know which of them will be shorted without removing them from the board. with the circuit shorted, many capacitors beep. I do not know if it is possible to know in any way which of them it can be, without disassembling and without an external source to inject voltage. Thanks in advance

something like this may help you find the shorted component: https://www.amazon.com/milliohm-mete...c7q6%2FkMXU3oQ

there's other methods too, involving feeling for hot ones, voltage injection, infrared cameras, iso alcohol, candle wax etc, can check youtube, some say it's an obsolete method but I usually start at the end and remove one at a time til I find the shorted cap, they aren't that hard to replace with a little practice.

Sony KD-65A1 Repair – 4 Red Blinks Error
              by AK_777
              Hi everyone!
I have a Sony KD-65A1 TV with a fault – 4 red LED blinks. After disassembly and visual inspection, I found that the G76 power board and DKA board had been replaced. It is also possible that TCON was replaced, but I am not sure – there are a few marker marks that could be factory-made.

Based on assumptions, the previous service attempted to solve the issue by replacing potentially faulty components. I decided to investigate further, found a service manual, and figured out a way to power up the power supply unit autonomously and put the OLED panel and...

              Power Supply: 17IPS71
              MainBoard: 17MB95M

When the set came in it was dead. Fuse was open primary side and the power mosfet was shorted. So I ordered a new power supply. Now it turns on, only displays "Hitachi" and then power off red and blue led flashing.

I had to modify the 0ohm resistors in the led backlight of the new PS like the original power supply.
Is there any variants on 17IPS71 power supply's?

Nintendo Switch lite charging chip heats up and does not short circuit
              by fab13
              Hello everyone

Small technical problem on a Nintendo Switch lite
Here's what I noticed: the USB port has been damaged internally, with a short circuit on the power supply line to the small fuse.

After replacing the USB connector, the short circuit went away and I can't see any other short circuit in the whole motherboard.

When I charge the console, it seems to be charging: I get 15 volts and an amperage of 0.450 A.

Then, after a while, the amperage increases to 1.1 A and the BQ24193 charging chip starts to heat up, as evidenced...

              Short Circuit tester
              by Tarot Superstars
              Hello.
I have seen a short circuit tester made with 3 * 9V batteries, a voltage limiter component and a resistor connected to the probes of a multimeter.
The theory is that the meter becomes sensitive enough to read very low resistances and the lowest resistance to ground on a circuit is likely to be a short circuit in that area.
