    un58tu7000 reboot loop

I was recently given a Samsung un58tu7000 tv that was broken, upon plugging it in the tv constantly reboots after every 10 seconds or so

found youtube video of a same series tv that had same issue and they removed a "led dimmer" wire from the power cable feeding main board and it fixed there issue but it didn't fix mine, also if i completely unplug that wire and start tv the screen stays on

another video i found suggested pulling off one of the surface mounted chips and reprogramming it then resoldering it back on the board

    any suggestions ?

Typical panel problem with these particular series.
Unplug the cable from main to panel and see if it's still rebooting.

that rebooting is probably a mainboard issue.

I got lucky fixing one of these for a friend who was pissed at Samsung. A year old and started boot looping with blank screen. Samsung told them to F off. I left the tv unplugged for 24 hours. Held power button for 30 seconds to dump excess residual power. Also held power button on remote toward unplugged tv for 30 seconds. When plugged it back in it booted normally. I immediately updated it with newer software from USB stick. (maybe update prevents further glitches). Been working since. I told them to also be wary that this model has been know to ignite the diffuser panel and melt or cause fire according to many owners online.

ok, so that usually means that your powerboard and backlights are alright.

+1 on the panel issue. Try “tape method” and you should get a picture after some playing around. Unfortunately the picture is usually degraded in some way. Ie; loss of color/s and sometimes lines

So I have a replacement main board coming for this tv today, is there anything special I have to do when I plug the board in and turn tv on, does it matter if I update it over internet or should I do usb instead, and if usb where can I download the updates for usb from ?

pop it in there and try it, might work without anything else needed.

best thing you can do with any led tv, might exclude some of the newer tech, but especially these and similar series junk samsungs is turn the backlight down to as low as tolerable and keep it there for all modes, no watching on vivid mode or whatever theyre calling it these days.

I received the new main board today, swapped boards and it is still doing same thing, I figured out that also if you leave everything plugged in but remove this cable from the main to the panel also that the panel stays on

Hi, I have two identical Samsung GU58TU7199, which both had the reboot loop. On that model TCON is integrated into the motherboard and there is only one FPC cable, which goes to a driver board driving half of the panel (left side seen from the rear of the TV) and than another FPC cable connecting left side to the right side.

The first one was easy, once I disconnected the FPC between left and right the TV did start up. I soldered a bridge on the motherboard on the test points as found here in the forum or on Youtube and half of the screen was coming up. I than tried the CK1..8 lines...

                                          Samsung QE50Q60AA - Reboot loop

I have a QE50Q60AA that won't stay on - when turning it on, it makes the sound and reboots right after (sound is ok).
Disconnecting the LVDS cable stops the restart loop but no image.
I tried the tape method mentioned in other threads in many variations, but I couldn't get it to properly work (either reboot loop, or no image).
Tested the caps on the left buffer board, no beeps.

                                          What else can be checked?...

Boot loop issue with LCD TV
                                          by javierwilliam
                                          Hello,
I am experiencing boot loop issues with my LCD TV. When the TV briefly displays the logo, such as LG or Philips, and then shuts down only to repeat this cycle, it indicates a boot loop problem. The challenge lies in the inability to install new software under these circumstances.

Should I consider replacing the mainboard as a solution, or are there alternative approaches to address this issue?

                                          Thanks in advance!

I have the above mentioned Alien Ware A51 R2, currently it randomly will boot into the OS but more often than not it boot loops, I'm assuming there's an issue with power regulation somewhere.
It comes with Dual 180 Watt Dell PSU, which is ironic since the thing claims it requires 420 watts in the bios screen.

To rule out the power bricks I've attempted to power up the Laptop with a 330W and 240W Dell PSU at the same time, it still has the same boot loop issue so the problem is definitely the laptop.

Right now I'm trying to dig through the PDF schematics and Board...

                                          Hi all,

I'm quite new to this and trying to learn by help a friend with his SF514-52T that stopped booting after battery was replaced. I suspected the battery was bad but the problem persisted when putting back the original one (which is was still working although with reduced capacity).

When pressing the power-on button the symptoms are:
                                          - Keyboard backlight and blue power LED turn on for about 5-7 seconds, and then flash off-on in ~3 seconds cycles (reboot loop).
                                          - Display does not seem to turn on, although it sometimes seems to flash in between reboots....
