Re: Sony XBR-65X930D No screen
it does seem a little strange that all 3 boards would be bad tho, it may be something else but I don't know what it is.

Re: Sony XBR-65X930D No screen
I had this same symptom on my xbr65x900c, always with the amber/green, then settle on white, would not take update no matter how I tried, got the spa music but never a picture or backlight, white light would blink with remote button press, haven't messed with it lately, I think it's a bad/dead emmc chip on mainboard, suspected that early and some other members thought the same.yes I have done the checks all seems good just not getting 12v at the fuse on t-con board, if you unplug the tv and plug it back in you have the amber green light on bottom of tv. then if you push the power button on remote you can get the white stand light but no picture. but each time its unplugged and plugged back in same thing over again.Leave a comment:

Let me check and ill post my findings. One question can 12v be supplied to the fuse just to see if it will come or will do more damage?Leave a comment:

Re: Sony XBR-65X930D No screen
Have you tried to disconnect the 2 ribbons from main board to tcon and power it on,
Make sure the disconnected ribbons end connectors are not touching anything and power it on.
Do you get the color bar factory test screen?
I am not sure if your model will do this, I am trying to fix a 4 red led flash code on 55x900e
When I disconnect mine, the screen will show color bars like factory testing on the screen,
Kind of help me telling me if at least the backlight or the display panel have any potential issues.
I like to see if there is an any panel issues before spending any money.Leave a comment:

Re: Sony XBR-65X930D No screen
did you check for shorted caps on the mainboard and dps board, and for those voltages he checks? see how he checks several caps around the chips, do that if you haven't already.Leave a comment:

Re: Sony XBR-65X930D No screen
I went thru all the video still having same issue could it be a bad t-con board not letting 12v get to the fuse on the t-con board?Leave a comment:

Re: Sony XBR-65X930D No screen
ok, thats a good sign, I never could get my backlights on, except with a bl tester, that should mean that powerboard and backlights are ok, problem could be in dps/backlight driver board or mainboard, I think prolly mainboard.Last edited by nomoresonys; 12-20-2022, 06:28 PM.Leave a comment:

by Ryan.manHello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!
My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.
This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen... -
by reformattJust had a customer bring in a M2 MBA A2681 that had had a screen replacement in April at another repairer. Since then, she has been getting intermittent kernel panics. It's an aftermarket screen, and of course it fails in diagnostics as the calibration hasn't been done. The error in the panic log is "No device added after powering on the rails".
It seems the original repairer has swapped the board and the screen to other MAC's, and said that it isn't a screen issue. From what I understand, by doing a quick search on Google, this is in fact a screen issue. The panic relates...07-31-2025, 08:37 PM -
by misterhausHi, this is my first post - so thanks in advance for any assistance.
I have a Sony XBR 65x930D (manufactured in July-2016), which was initially showing a black screen, faint backlight glow, and played musical sounds when powered up. After some experimenting (mostly unplugging cable and re-plugging), including attempting hard-reset and firmware update, it is now showing video, but the left side of the screen is fuzzy/grainy. (See attached pic)
I am trying to decide if this could be the T-CON board, or the DPS board.
When I press on the upper right of the DPS... -
by ChrissygizmoHello again everyone,
This is my latest mission, to try getting this Sony tv back to normal working order…
I've only just got it today, when you power it up everything is as should be, in fact it works perfectly for a few minutes then the screen starts getting horizontal lines on & eventually the full screen goes back, I will upload photos of the problem & also some photos of the board etc. You might notice that I'm busy trying the tape method, I'm not sure exactly where the clock lines are so I'm just guessing & hoping for the best lol . I've already tried... -
by smic717394Hi,
I have a iphone XS that came in for a screen replacement, the screen was badly cracked, and inside missing scues, on the back of the screen still the blue protector, the screen was a LCD. So we replaced the screen and all good, installed the screen and we noticed that pressing the screen with a bit of force but not excessive, the phone dies. After plugging the charger it turns back on, but again if you press it it dies. I open the phone again, and I can't see anything major, with the phone open, if I press on the logic board, battery, charging board, or even putting pressure on... - Loading...
