while powered up, see if theres about 12 volts on each side of the tcon fuse, neg. probe on chassis ground, pos. probe on each side of fuse.

micom didnt send signal to power boards to turn on T-CON 12V.
as you replaced Main boards and did firmware update.. and now it turn on and off.. so need to do reset..
while its on / white LED on ) plug it out from wall socket... press the middle joystick and pull it down... keep it at this position while you plug it in wall socket again... untill you have the while led turn to green keep press 3 second then release your finger.... leave it it could restart 2 time.

Is this one of the ic chips on the main board?

                                it tell only one story..
the update you did after you replaced the main boards was not successful. or wrong file.
you need to ready USB stick with correct firmware.. and try again the reset while the usb inserted at the TV.

Yes, if it will not update after all proper attempts and trying different usb drives because sonys can be fussy, then emmc is my guess.

Thank you for the reply's I have tried all kinds of ways to get this tv to turn on, but same results and I have three mainboards, and they all act the same could it possibly be the t-con board or something else causing this issue?

did you try it with one ribbon cable at a time hooked up from tcon to panel driver board, see if theres anything on display or any change, don't let the end of the loose cable touch anything such as metal chassis, don't want to short anything out. Best to do all connect and disconnect of cables with tv unplugged from power to avoid any errant surges and such.

so with all three mainboards you are getting no voltage on the tcon fuse?
