Philips 715G6353-P01-001-002H Low voltage from PSU board

    Hi,
I have 715G6353-P01-001-002H from Philips TV.
TV doesn`t start up even there is no red led light.
    I noticed that 12V rail has 8.5V.
    Suggestions for repair?

Is the stand by voltage present?
The 715G number is for PCB's without parts, do you have the modelnumber and the PLTV number on the white label of the power supply?

Check if your PFC is working, there should be about 400v DC on a large capacitor (C9814, C9815) in the hot circuit.

715G6353-P01-001-002H is the whole number and there is the same board for sell and
        also service manual of it.
There is pin #3 labeled PS_on and there is no voltage over it.
Over both capacitors (they are in paralel) there is 310V
Is there wiring but with control point/voltages on it?

It is 310V DC. BTW can i add bridge over choke to ignore PFC?
It also mean to remove mosfer or PFC chip/controller

If i`m not wrong, then if i apply +12v on PS_on, then it will start optocoupler IC9401 and this
will generate 12v on VCC_ON. But i can`t see VCC_ON on PCB. May be this is ON/OFF pin?

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

              Assuming...

I wondering if there are some usual faults regarding the PS_ON signal from main board to PSU board?
              Where do i start looking?

I have standby light and the PSU is working if i connect 3.3V to the PS_ON pin on the psu board....

Philips 65PUS8518/12 distorted image after main board replacement
              by tuner2000i
              hello everyone,

I don't normally do tv repairs but this is a case with my personal TV which got fried together with many other electronics in my house after a thunderstorm.

The TV is a Philips 65PUS8518/12 which had no power. I measured and concluded that the main board was probably fried through ethernet or hdmi. I found a board with same number 715GD328-M0F-B00-005Y (I had G) but from a 55PUS8518. The TV starts but the image is doubled, distorted. I need to set the panel code which is 016 according to the sticker on the back but I can not seem to do it.

All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
              • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
              • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault
