Re: Sharp LC60C6400U - 2 long binks, 5 short blinks error code
That's bad news. I did the removal of the tcon cables a couple of times, but no backlight will come on. So after sifting through the thread I've come to the conclusion that the 2 - 5 blink pattern seems to be a catch all for whatever issue ranging from power board to panel failure. Now I was able to get mine to work after replacing the KIA378R12PI regulator, then have it fail, re-do it and succeed for over 100 hours. When watching the set I noticed no lines, and the image was good. I will try to get it back on to take a picture.Comment

Re: Sharp LC60C6400U - 2 long binks, 5 short blinks error code
After looking up repair kits for this model that solve the 2 - 5 blink code, I saw some 100k ohm resistors for the kit as well as the KIA378R12PI regulator. Should I be checking these next. Also which ones do I check and what value should they be at?Comment

Oh man. Hisense is hot trash. The picture on this set is great. Most Hisense models get lines after a year.Comment

And lines after one year? Ooofff! That's worse than that LG 49UH6100 upstairs in my sister's bedroom, which seems to have a writing on the wall that there's at least shitty LEDs!Last edited by RJARRRPCGP; 04-26-2021, 03:41 PM.ASRock B550 PG Velocita

BUDM suggests that the regulator is fine, but something is not letting it turn on normally, so Redrebel puts a resistor on one of the leads and attaches to a ground screw. Would this be worth attempting?Comment

Looks like my next option is to follow https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=48477
I'm going to remove the outer frame and take a look CAREFULLY at all the flex tabs, if I see a burn mark on one, I assume I will have to cut all the tabs from that side. freaafter8 had success with a 70" doing this.Comment

Re: Sharp LC60C6400U - 2 long binks, 5 short blinks error code
Yes that's the year I think. So I just inspected all the tabs on the left side, then the right side I saw no burned IC on either of them, so I'm ruling that out for now. My suspicion now is that it is indeed one or two burned out LEDS.

I've got the tv totally apart now and can see all the leds. They all look perfect. All I have to test them with is 2 AAA batteries but I'm not having luck. Does anyone have any other ideas?Comment

by Superbee_dadHello Sharp TV experts
Our Sharp LC-80LE642U displays one short one long flash error code which is a backlight error. I went into service mode and there were 8 lamp error counts recorded. I reset the count to 0 and did a reset. The last monitor error cause was 16 B00014639:12. 16 is the code for backlight error. I tried to power the tv up but went back into error mode.

by cm0002Hi everyone,
I've got a Sharp LC-55N7000U. It has a standbuy LED when plugged in, but powering it on causes it to blink 1 LONG and 5 FAST. Theres no display and no backlight.
Nothing I checked has that blink pattern for Sharp TVs and there's only one multi-button on the TV itself so that service menu trick involving the input button doesn't work either. Its a post-Hisense buyout TV so that probably makes sense lol
I've tried disconnecting the panel sides from the TCON alternating sides, but no change in behaviour even when the whole TCON is disconnected,... -
by joblo37pamIt's been a while since I've checked in here or needed input on narrowing down what to replace on a TV repair, but I've got one on my bench now that has me wondering. The lack of part (board) availability means I may need to do some component-level diagnostics, and a second opinion is always good when it comes to that.
The issue - Sharp LC-80LE844U does not display. Power light comes on for a while, then you can hear a relay click off and the light blinks twice slow, then five times fast. Service manual points to 'Panel Power Supply Error' with this code, but isn't much more help... -
by CharrlieJust picked up this sharp tv not too long ago and it started not wanting to start the other day, giving me the notorious 2 long-5 short blink pattern indicating a power issue. I was able to force start it a handful of times (once the tv has fired up it has no issue running for 5+ hours). But now as of yesterday, no matter what I try to do button combination wise, I just receive the same blinking code.
So I busted into it and have done the following:
-Removed the power board and inspected for any bad caps, burn spots etc. Do not see any instances of such ... -

I will describe my problem with a TV in those short following terms to be the most precise :
What i have :
Sharp Aquos LC-60LE635E
power board DPS-162KP-1
main logic board QPWBXF733WJN2
symptoms :

after 2 minutes, blinking 3 times a row, repeating
no backlight (and apparently no picture, checked panel with flashlight)
no startup sound
