Sharp LC-55N7000U 1 long 5 short blinking, no display

    Hi everyone,

I've got a Sharp LC-55N7000U. It has a standbuy LED when plugged in, but powering it on causes it to blink 1 LONG and 5 FAST. Theres no display and no backlight.

Nothing I checked has that blink pattern for Sharp TVs and there's only one multi-button on the TV itself so that service menu trick involving the input button doesn't work either. Its a post-Hisense buyout TV so that probably makes sense lol

I've tried disconnecting the panel sides from the TCON alternating sides, but no change in behaviour even when the whole TCON is disconnected, any ideas?

99 percent it's backlights. Do the flashlight test in the dark to see if you can see the Sharp Logo and the images on screen when booting up ... and have sound. That way you know it's bad leds and not something else like mainboard.
    Here's the LED replacement info.

This is common with all Sharp / Hisense models. If backlights are left at 100 percent from factory sale. Only last 1 or 2 years. Replace and turn them down to 60 percent and last way longer and these tv's still have great picture.
And there are ton's of good youtube videos on replacing backlights ... just search your model LC-55N7000U
