    Thanks for the reply!

    So the 2nd Pin output of 1.85 V (0.6 + 1.25) is enough power?

    Mmmmmmm.....

If anyone can suggest anywhere else for me to take readings that could potentially cause this problem, I will be appreciative

Not sure what voltage you are suppose to be getting but the regulator looks ok. The voltage between the Adjust pin (left pin) and the center pin (Pin2, output) will always be 1.25V +/- 2% : https://datasheetspdf.com/pdf/617638...ronic/BM1117/1

    Soniq E40S12A-AU Stuck In Standby

    Hello everybody,

My Soniq E40S12A-AU (Australia) won't stay on when coming out of standby.

Upon the power button being pushed to come out of standby, the red standby light starts flashing, then the Cinavision splash screen appears for a brief second before screen going black, & within another ten seconds the TV goes back into standby; with a solid red light.

I have tried flashing the original & new firmware but upon completion I get the same behaviour as above, with the addition of an audio chime I assume to be notifying me of a successful firmware update.

I have been keenly reading the other threads here about this (or similar) issue; & I subsequently measured the voltage regulators on the mainboard. I have purchased some replacements with the intention of replacing the Adjustable Voltage Regulator; BM1117.

I have read through the 'How To Test A Voltage Regulator' guide here at BadCaps, but I'm still not sure if I have a bad Regulator or not, So I was first wanting to share the following readings & hear some thoughts etc, thank you:

    BM1117 Adjustable Voltage Regulator:
    Pin 1: 0.6 V
    Pin 2: 1.85 V
    Pin 3: 5.25 V

The Pin 1 reading is what I am unsure about; for this model, or any for that matter?

The 2 BM1117-33 Fixed Regulators Read:
    Pin 1: 0 V
    Pin 2: 3.3 V
    Pin 3: 5.25 V

Which I think means they are fine....?

    Thank you for reading!

I could provide some photos if we need to troubleshoot further, but at this stage I thought might not be necessary; all the caps appear healthy & I can't see anything else looking amiss etc

    Soniq S55V14B-AU Stuck in Standby
    by Loagz
Hi, I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction....

I have a S55V14B TV and it suffered a board failure. Main board part number: 222-655036003-30. I couldn't find a board with the exact part number so I've used what looks to be the same board however the part number is slightly different. 222-655036002-30.

After installing the main board the stanby light came back on, however it wont turn on. I spoke to Soniq Australia and managed to get a copy of the firmware but no service manual. They don't have one. I asked about the different part numbers but they...

Gigabyte B460M DS3H blown standby regulator, hot 5v(?) Regulator
    by nubie
Please help me ID the blown chip and point me where the short might be.

I have a L1085DG that is getting really hot and a blown up standby regulator (I assume, one leg is ground, one leg is 5v standby, the other has 180 Ohms to ground.

The L1085DG is in the front corner of the board. With no standby power I am using a jumper to get the PSU powered on.

Anything I should check first for a short?

Edit: I can look again but I don't think the USB are shorted, on back or the headers. The USB2.0 are powering up my portable monitor, so I don't think...

    Soniq S55V16A-AU stuck in standby

I've got a 55" Soniq LED TV which is stuck in standby mode (initiator LED on, but no picture/sound/backlight). It will intermittently start working again for a few days or weeks, but it has been months since the last time it turned on. I've seen a lot of similar issues with Soniq TVs that were fixed by updating the firmware, but I need to turn it on to update the firmware so no luck there.

I've taken the back off and visually inspected it but everything looks fine. No exploded capacitors or signs of overheating etc. All of the 1117 regulators on the main board were outputting...

LG 32LB1R - stuck in standby mode
    by lego1234567
Hi. I have the following problem with my TV. After connecting to mains, the standby led (red) turns on, but TV is not responding to remote control or buttons on TV. After some measurements, I found out that +5 V standby voltage is present, but I dont have ON/OFF signal coming in to turn PSU on. It stays at zero volts. After looking at the schematic of the mainboard, I should get ON/OFF signal coming in at the R1402 resistor, but it stays around +3,5 V. So I removed it and I was able to turn on TV with buttons on TV, but not with remote control.

What could be the problem ? Thanks...
