Just thought In would share this. I bought this today for the screen, Owner said backlights were out. Great deal for $20. Upon opening it, I thought this baby had an electrical fire problem. So I sniffed and it was nicotine, OMG!! I just cleaned the screen and scrapped the rest.

Now you know what a Tv technician goes through. When bars were allowed to let smoking in the bar it was real bad. The Tv's are usually elevated where its ambient temperature is warmer and the smoke just coats everything with nasty ass nicotine. As soon as you plug it in you can smell the nicotine roasting. It usually took 2 or 3 tries to get the screen cleaned. Don't miss that era at all.

Yip, I've had this before too. I could actually scrape the nicotine off the back of the frame work inside with a blade! Yukky orange paste. TV came from a local pub.

Bad stuff, smoking actually changes a persons skin tone from pink to a yellow tint, pure poison.
