Westinghouse WD55UDR101 No Audio from Speakers

I think this set comes in many flavours from the usual suspects, RCA, Proscan, other house brands etc. Main/Power board is CV6586H-A50 P/N 34020824.

The set has no audio from the speakers but if I plug in a pair of headphones to the audio out jack I do hear sound fine. Sound is produced by the Texas Instruments TAS5707 class D amplifier ic. I measure 3.3v and 12v at the voltage input pins of the chip.

Does anyone have experience with these chips ? Would this be a somewhat common ocurrence remedied by replacing the ic ?

Did you try plug and unplug several times the headphone plug? maybe shoot it with some contact cleaner.

I did plug and remove several times and did not hear anything at all from the speakers not even the faintest noise or level change.

Did not try cleaner but I will inspect the jack itself a little closer.

The speakers didn't accidentally get set to external? Sometimes a reflow of that sound IC will work.

I have decided to keep this tv and as such the functioning of the built in speakers is not critical.

            Thanks for your input.

This tv quit altogether just after mounting it to the wall. Of course.

A replacement main board from an RCA tv brought it back to life and fixed the no audio problem as well.

Help troubleshooting an audio problem with an RCA SGT-250 CED Player
                by samson7point1@yahoo.com
The Problem: This player has a toggle switch to select between Stereo, Mono R, and Mono L. Regardless of the setting it outputs the sound to both the L&R audio jacks. In the Mono R position, the audio output level is normal (from both the L and R audio output jacks), in the Stereo position the audio output is about half the volume, and in Mono L, it's about 3/4 the volume. Something about putting it into Stereo mode is causing the volume to drop significantly and I can't figure it out.

The player processes the audio signal using two different reference frequencies. The "R"...

Part 1 - Acoustic Audio GX-400 build "quality"

Not going to lie – this will be another silly audio post/thread. If you thought the cheap Panasonic Thrusters speakers I posted about last time were bad enough, then you are about to explore some new depths in lo-fi audio here. Ladies and gentlemen, I present you the Acoustic Audio GX-400 speakers... or speaker (only pictured one for better details )

Before I continue any further, perhaps you might be asking why I even bother to post about such crap audio gear (let alone keep it). The answer...

A2141 No audio on speakers, yes audio on headphone jacks.
                by abajor
I just can't escape Apples most CURSED laptop the dreaded A2141.

Can't find any info on this speaker problem. I've been digging through the schematics and found there's a separate chip U6300 to drive the headphone jack.
It appears all of the audio signal is transmitted using i2S. It's pretty wild that the internal speakers have 3 amplifiers each. I'm assuming whatever provides the clock or routes the signal to the speaker amps has an issue?
U3900 is as far as I've gotten in my exploration.

Anybody know this issue? Is it fixable? U3900 looks like something...

I replaced all electrolytics in subwoofer, still get a hum in speakers - audio clip
                by Delicieuxz
I get a faint, low hum through my PC speakers, which connect to the subwoofer in a 2.1 speaker system. The hum drives me crazy and makes me stressed. When I turn off the subwoofer, everything is quiet and I start to relax, lol.

Here's an audio clip of the sound coming from my speakers:

                https://vocaroo.com/16HaryHwTx78

I recorded with my phone's mic right next to the speaker, and the mic picked up a lot of speaker noise over top of the hum. But I don't hear that noise in the room, I just hear the lower-pitched hum that's buried beneath all the other...

LTO PS 4LA Powerred Speakers - Tweeter Audio Low
                by willis6732
Hello, I have two of these speakers with the same Prioblem. The tweeter volume is very low. I believe it happened after running them too loud.

There is a lightbulb on the tweeter output i tried shorting and no change.

The tweeters measure 6 ohms and it seems to play loud if i plug them into an alternate amplifier

Z1 and R7 next to that get hot as well. Zener tests ok
