not sure what the "in_stop" is? is that a typo or was it supposed to be a graphic?...

  • Re: 65UJ6200 unable to get backlights on

Well I did replace the harness to LEDS and that didn't work.

I Did however, get a T-con Board that got my lights back on.
I put the TV back together and still had picture but after about an hr, the lights went again and now i'm back to picture being produced but no light.

I'm guessing the Power board is bad and shorting the T-con? So I ordered another T-con and Powerboard from Tvpartstoday and that didn't seem to fix the issue.

Crazy that I had picture for maybe an hr and then it went...

  • Re: TVPartsToday Not Recommended

    Yes....they have fine print.

You have to pay return shipping.
But after they receive it, you also have to call to actually get them to process the Refund (Within 90 days of receipt).

well found a replacement distribution strip on Ebay and will see if that works. I did, at one point, get a replacement power board but it did nothing for the LEds....

  • 65UJ6200 unable to get backlights on

I was able to get my hands on a LG 65UJ6200 with no backlights.
Flashlight to the screen will show an image so I'm assuming the Panel is still okay.

I can also hear sound as well.

I replaced the LED strips with new ones.

Tested them with the light tester.

The LED Voltage at the pins will jump to about 340 or so at pin 11 and 12 when the TV is turned on but then drops. There is also a slight flicker with power on which is typical for bad LEDs. Interestingly, when I try to test the LED pins it appears due to the wiring, that...

  • 60LN5600 white reflective sheet

So I had to replace the LED lights on this TV and that worked out nicely. But the White reflector sheet that helps to diffuse the led lights evenly was glued into the back chassis which had to be removed to replace the LEDs.

Placing the white reflector sheet caused it to not sit evenly - causing weird diffusing when TV was all put together. Picture is still decent, but now there are dark and light spots due to the white reflector sheet not sitting against the back chassis.

Anyone have thoughts on replacement white reflector? or do I just scavenge broken TVs for...

  • Busted/cracked Light diffuser plate Samsung UN55NU7100

I was attempting to replace the LED lights on an Edge-lit Samsung UN55NU7100...While removing the sheets and the light diffuser plate which already had cracks at the bottom. The plate bent(more than I'd like) and broken in half.

    1) Is it still usable if I can put in back into place

    2) or Do I have to find a replacement diffuser plate and can it be any diffuser plate from a 55" Samsung LED TV or specific to my model?

    3) can a new plate be purchased from Samsung?

Turned out that it was a bad LED strip.

ok I can get a car light bulb, but not sure what you mean by put it on the 13v/0v outputs - the outputs on the power connector and just physically place it against the pins? Or should I purchase a few connector wires or such?...

  • 50UH5500 No picture/sound

So I picked up this 50UH5500 the other day.

When I power it up, the main board gets power for brief second, the backlights flash and then power shuts down to the Backlights and Main.

    Testing the PSU-
    With the Power plugged in
    Power
    pin 1- STB - 0 V
    pin 2,3 - 0 V
    Pin 4,5,6,7,8 - get 10.22 V
    pins 9,10,11,12 - 0 Volts

    where the LED plug is.
    pins 1,2,3 - 88-89 Volts
    pins 4,6 give 27-28 volts.
    pin 5 - 0 Volts

Based on the LED pin voltages, I'm assuming i have a bad LED. However the weird thing...

  • Re: Samsung UN50JU6500F Blank Screen Boot Loop; Clicking sound can be heard.

Back in March, I stumbled onto this same model of TV that I got for $50. I had to replace the Power board and the TV came back to life for me. I was a bit confused on the PSU testing but figured it out. Eventually the thought was bad voltage regulating diodes on the PSU. But figured it might help you out.

see if any of your symptoms are similar to what mine were.

Well. I did buy a new Power Supply board and that fixed the whole problem. still not sure what caused it to fail though...so a bit concerned that it might happen again after fixing it, but will see what happens.

  • Re: Samsung UHD UN50JU6500

okay finally got time to post.

    PS-on is 3-4 Volts
    pins 3,5,7,9 fluctuate from 8 v to 13 v
pins 4,6,8 still show about 3-4 volts.

    the A13v and the 8V standby both fluctuate from 9 v to 13 v.

    with main board disconnected.

Testing the pullup resistor with ground gives me a fluctuation of 8v to 13 v as well

Ok I didn't realize I had the black lead on pin 2 (which I thought was pin 1). I tested it briefly this morning and got much better numbers similar to post#3. I will post the voltages and variance when I get back from work and if not too tired lol....

  • Re: Samsung UHD UN50JU6500

This was with the PSU Separated from the LED and Main and just plugged into AC and PSU Flipped over. I was testing based on your picture you posted and that's what I got.

so the one pic. Was ground to A13V which was fluctuating form 4-8 Volts.
The 2nd pic was ground to the PS-ON which was reading pretty much 0 V. Maybe bad placement or not grounded correctly there.

I've included a couple of youtube videos of the fluctuation at the T-con fuse(I know I know) disconnected, but it's what I've saying about...

  • Re: Samsung UHD UN50JU6500

Ok I did the A13V which fluctuated from 4v to 8V. the 8V standby side had 0 Volts.

The Power-on with ground read little either 0.7 or 0 Volts....

  • Re: Samsung UHD UN50JU6500

Just Checking before I test again so i understand. You want me to re-check the Pin 8 - power on voltage correct to the main board with LED plugged in and AC power.

    or something different?...

  • Re: Samsung UHD UN50JU6500

No the originally what I did was replace just the bad one FIRST and noticed the very dim blinking lights. Then I proceeded to replace them all to see if it made a difference.

I replaced all the LED strips..not the individual LEDs. I got the strips from ShopJimmy. I tested them with the LED tester and they all work.

Unless it is a bad batch of LEDs strips from Shopjimmy....

  • Re: Samsung UHD UN50JU6500

    ok understood.

I Do not have tools to do surface mounted component repair. I was assuming we were testing to see if the board was bad or not. I can do simple repairs like capacitors, and maybe the resistors but smaller stuff or chips I cannot....
