    Compatibility issue?

    Hi there

I have a LG 55LB5820 - TB and need to replace the power supply.

The power supply I have is EAX65423801 rev 2.0

I have found a EAX65423801 (2.1) from an LG 50LB5610 and the markings on it are:

    PCB: EAX65423801 (2.1)
    REV2.0
    2013. 12.10

Would this be compatible? Not sure as it is a different size tv

It is the same part number but different revision?

Is that just a software difference or can it be a part difference?

    Re: Compatibility issue?

That is the blank PCB part number and it could be populated differently for different models. The connectors may be different. Different size tvs will have different configuration and voltages for the LED strips so likely it will power the main board but not the LED backlight.

Those two boards look pretty identical, I would be surprised if it DIDN'T work.

          Re: Compatibility issue?

There's 10 LEDs different between those two models, they will be putting out different voltages.

They both look identical except one transformer is white and the other is blue. However there is a difference in voltage. Stay with the one you have

MacBook Air A2337 (820-02016) USB-C Port Issue – Only Works in One Orientation (CC Line Problem?)
              by rounin
              Hi everyone,

I'm working on a MacBook Air 2020 (A2337, board 820-02016) and running into a strange USB-C issue. I've gone through quite a bit of testing and part replacement, but I'm stuck — hoping someone here can shed some light.

              🛠 Original Issue
              The machine initially wouldn't negotiate 20V over USB-C — stuck at 5V.
Diagnosis showed PP1V5_UPC0_LDO_CORE shorted to ground.

I replaced U3100 (UF400) using a donor board (A2179), and the machine powers on fine now.

Three 820-01700 32GB Logic Boards Same Issue: Won't Wake From Hibernate
              by ugamazing
I have three identical-spec 820-01700 boards (2.6/32/512), and ALL THREE boards came to us with the same fault, from different sources: The boards don't wake from hibernation with the keyboard or lid, they ONLY wake when you press the power button. I understand this is a very minor issue, but the boards must be fixed!

We will of course begin with the obvious (checking lid signals), but I couldn't help but notice these three boards were all 32GB variants. Has anyone noticed an issue relating to these 32GB boards in particular? I of course don't think it's a RAM issue, but it's bizarre...

Weired MSI B560M PRO (MS-7D20) - not starting with 11-th gen. CPU, 10-th gen. OK
              by DynaxSC
              Hi,

I have a very weired problem with MSI B560M PRO (MS-7D20), board is upgraded to the latest BIOS version v1.9.

The board is normally starting with 10-th gen. CPU, ie. Intel Comet Lake i5-10600K and Celeron G5905.

However if I install a 11-th gen. Rocket Lake i5-11600K the board powers up, but is immediately stuck on CPU LED, not progressing further. Debug card shows FF, and after restart with long short of Power Button: FE, which is as usually of no help (Reserved for future AMI error codes).

According to MSI compatibility site the board supports...

              Hello guys!
I have a strange issue with my laptop keyboard and I'm lost trying to detect what's wrong - the KB9028Q-C or the keyboard itself.
It powers on OK and has no other issues except the following:
              • CAPS LOCK does not work at all
              • Fn button toggles Flight Mode
              • When I press 't' or '5', it produces 't5', and when I press 'y' or '6', it produces 'y6'
              • (with SHIFT pressed: 't%' and 'y^' respectively)
I initially thought it was a keyboard malfunction (internal short, etc.),
but when I press and hold...
