Re: TV Sharp AQUOS LC-60LE635E TV not power ON

    Nomoresonys:

no my t-con original board is burnt out and not working.
i bought chinese via aliexpress, and it didn't work properly. was not compatible with my TV.
then I found a used original T-con board model tv LC60LE635E on the classifieds
    and this one works properly

    finally.
    another tip.
do not buy a T-Con board from Aliexpress because they are not compatible with European TVs

I see, thanks for clarification, glad you got it working.

How do you forced the backlight to turn on?

Re: TV Sharp AQUOS LC-60LE635E TV not power ON

          Hi,

I also have a Sharp LC-60LE63E TV with Power supply board DPS-162KP B. Set was not switching on and when opened found R7900, IC7903 (physically cracked) and D7908 burnt. All parts have been replaced but R7900 and IC7903 were blown again (with a large spark) when supply has been switched on. Any idea what the problem might be please?

          Thanks

make sure the diode is not in backwards.

              Hi,

              Thanks for your reply.

Diode is soldered correctly. The only mistake I did to be honest is that resistor R7900 was 1/4W instead of 1/2W.

did you mean D7905 instead of D7908? D7905 looks a little beat up, did you test it or change it out?

D7905 when tested with a multimeter looks fine. The black stain visible on the picture is due the spark done by R7900.

                      Thanks

I would build one of these for a few bucks so your not constantly blowing components up, which wastes time and money: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k5oNQ1etN2c

I would set meter to ohm mode and check all the diodes and caps thats all not just the electrolytics on the board, all should read pretty high, report any with a low ohm reading.

Can I see a photo of the other side of the board. Check the component with three legs under the heatsink.

I have just found low resistance on capacitor c7901 and instead of 100pf it's capacitance is 30pf. Could it be this js the main problem shorting IC 7903 and R7900?

                                    Thanks

could very well be, change it out and see what you get, also measure it out of circuit if you didnt, to be sure.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                                          Hi all!

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

                                          Hi all,

TL;DR - this laptop is driving me nuts with the oddball power-related behaviors. Appreciate any insight you can provide!

I'm experiencing a power issue on an Asus Probook P5440UF-XB74. Although I've worked with electronics and computers for decades, this is my first attempt at getting into motherboard-level component troubleshooting. Any help the community can provide is greatly appreciated!

One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...
