LG 43UH6100-UH LCD TV - Horizontal banding and distortion

I have a LG 43UH6100-UH LCD TV that is flickering and distorting the picture.

From my limited research I have found the cause to be either the TCON board, loose ground or loose/bad cable.

Looks like it could be a bad gate driver, try the "cut tape" method, sometime you have to play with the tape placement: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7vl7-vZEL8

Thanks for the tip. It worked! I placed a very thin piece of tape on the left cable on the right side over the green stripe.
