I got some before from aliexpress that seems to work pretty well. No idea if genuine. Search "3M 5952 4mm" Probably good to check the width after cutting the screen open.

On no bezel LCD panels, here are some dis/reassembly notes
    • 2012+ iMacs also use double sided tape to glue on screen. A plastic pizza cutting wheel tool is used to cut open the iMac screen. This is probably more desirable than a non rolling cutting tool to minimize producing debris on the back (clean) side of the LCD panel that has to be ultra clean.
    • I took the time to painstakingly remove the old tape from the backside of LCD panel (wear nitrile gloves to keep the LCD clean). This exposes this clean side for long periods with more chance to collect debris. Debris can only be discovered after nearly full assembly to power on TV to show a white screen to examine for debris. I unfortunately cracked the LCD while tilting the LCD from one corner trying to use sticky tape to remove the debris. Ideally, use compressed air to blow clean the clean side prior to assembly. Also avoid sticking on the LCD prior to checking for debris. If require 2nd LCD removal to clean debris, use something like masking tape to mark the location in front of the LCD to locate the debris then remove LCD panel completely for cleaning. Mine cracked because I tried tilting the LCD as a short cut to get to the debris. LCD probably wouldn't have cracked if I had a 2nd person to lift and tilt the LCD from both corners.
    • Also note LCD panel's strength is deceiving. The 2mm+ thickness is mostly a strength providing glass. The actual LCD is patterned onto a super thin glass that is glued to this thicker glass. This ultra thin glass is what cracks and not the thicker glass.

Good advice for fixing the TV and the debris.

My advice is just forget about it lol. The headache that this type of TV repair isn't worth it. Debris gets everywhere from having to cut the tape to get the screen off. The tape is black and so is the screen and it sticks really well to the TV after cutting. Impossible to see until you put it back together. It can definitely be done because I have done it.. but it's not much worth it. But howards tips are very nice.

Since it seems your job is repair tvs good luck! Ali Express or eBay has the tape

        Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

        Double Sided Tape
        by Storyteller12
Just curious what double sided tape everyone uses on the tv screen/ panel when replacing backlights on models like the Samsung ks8000 and mu9000.

I replaced backlights on a curved model ks8500 and it's started to come apart with the tape I used. Have to redo it now but not sure what's the best tape so I don't have this problem again

        Replaced HiSense 75H6570G backlight
        by howardc64
TV has 2 strings of LED backlight. 1 string had 1x LED failure. Replaced all LED light bar (thought about replacing just 1 bar but new bar LED color more white compared to old)

The large screen and HiSense reflector paper assembly presented some challenges over the smaller screens.

        - 75" TV is huge, need 2x large work surface (1 for TV, 1 for LCD panel)
        - White reflector paper in the tub is secured by 10 columns and 1 row (on top the tub) of double sided sticky tape. Took awhile (need to go slow to avoid/minimize damage) to remove with minimal damage.

IBM LTO 7 Tape Drive - Dust Sensors??
        by RetroComputingGrotto
I have a Quantum SuperLoader robotic tape library that uses an IBM LTO 7 tape drive which is constantly complaining that it needs cleaning. If you insert a cleaning tape, it performs the clean and resets the cleaning counter to 0 hours. It should only require cleaning every 50 or so working hours but after as little as just 1 hours use it requests cleaning. We've purchased a new cleaning tape along with new LTO backup tapes but that has not resolved the problem.

I have taken the library apart and can see no noticeable signs of dust inside. I have removed the tape drive from the...

        Hisense 65R6E3 double-image / horizontal strips - TCON?
        by jason123
Hello all. 3 years back, with your help, I replaced the LEDs on this TV. It's been working great. Yesterday, I turned it on (garage TV), and it has blurred horiz / vert lines as you see in photos. Definitely no physical hit or damage. Top 1/6th of the screen is perfect. Could it be main / TCON board? No tabs to cut on this model. Thank you...
