    bad tcon fuse

sorry i dont have pics or board number to hand .
main fuse 4.7v one side 0.47v the other side . the fuse measured 0 ohms yesterday . today after testing voltage it measures 7 ohms . is there anything i should check on the tcon board before replacing the fuse . fuse is 5 amps measured on board .
might this just be a case of a worn out fuse i wonder ?

Check the resistance on the load side of the fuse against the T-CON circuit ground, you should check the resistance between T-CON circuit ground against test points AVDD, VGH, VGL, etc, if you can locate them

      ok will do . thanks.
just a note to add .tv was fine then put into standby all day then fault found after switching on again .back-lights no picture .no idea about sound as no idea what input it was set on if any as this tv forgets what it was on last most of the time .
also made slight buzzing humming same as when something is drawing too much current or damp but no way it got damp . it no longer does this .

worked out what i am going to do to replace the fuse .i have a plan . am leaving the 5 amp fuse wire where it is . i am going to trace the 5v feed wire to tcon and cut it and splice in a 3 amp fuse . simply solder wires to a 20mm fuse and shrink wrap it . this will make it easy to change if the need arises .

HANNSG Hi221 -- 2 secs to black feat. CCFL flicker & "burn" marks on power board
                        by ttmi100x
                        Greetings everyone,

I have a HANNSG Hi221 monitor that exhibits two seconds to black issues (backlight goes off, display is still on as confirmed by shining a flashlight on it) with some additional oddities...

The monitor failed on me with a standard "2 seconds to black" some time ago prompting me to initially replace most of the electrolytic capacitors (some of them were bulging/leaking).
Things kinda sorta worked for a night, then the problem returned along with some flickering and "buzzing" noises.

                        Upon closer inspection...

                        Samsung Qled QE58Q60 restart
                        by alex26
Hello. I have a Samsung qled model QE58Q60TAU.
The TV restarts continuously and without an image. If I disconnect either half, the TV does not restart, but in both situations I have absolutely nothing on the display, only the backlight is on. I checked the CKv signals and the rest VGH, VSS etc. I measured them against the ground and between them and found between VGH and VSS a resistance of 106 ohms on the B side of the screen (right). I isolated all the signals on the right side and covered them with scotch tape and absolutely nothing has changed, it doesn't restart but I have no picture...

A funny fuse story – Lumix LX100 II
                        by corrize
Hello, I disassembled this dead camera, and found this WTF… Two fuses soldered one above the other !
I was pretty sure nobody touched it before, but that can't be from factory. There is flux, and capacitor is probably missing.
                        The other weird thing : the fuses are « G » fuse : (0.75A – 8V), seems very low. The original fuse should be « O » : (32V 2,5A).
There is « O » mark beside. All fuses have the same mark letter on main board. So, I can deduce it's a « O » fuse.
And this correspond to the issus I saw : when I plug the battery, I measure the voltage dropping...

I could have sworn I posted about this before, but I can't seem to find the post..

I have a 60LN5400 that came in.. Backlights work fine.. No display..

Traced the problem to the TCON board.. Blown fuse..

Replaced the fuse.. Blows again.. Replaced the fuse again... This time it fries the marked part on the Main Video board...

Got a new Main Video Board.. Replaced the fuse on the TCON..

The fuse is fine and the backlights come on fine if I don't have the cellophane connectors from the TCON to the...
