    Hello Jamie
Thanks for both updates, had you not updated we would not have known the outcome
As for the wrong forum we all do it, once I posted in wrong thread LOL
Sometimes a moderator will put it in the proper place
I follow the monitor forum, only this thread is of intrest and I nearly missed it
Had you not updated yesterday I would have missed it all together (seen it in New Posts)
I am sure other members who follow the monitor forum would be interested in this thread, but would have missed it among the TVs threads, still never mind
    Bob

I have this LCD moniter with few resitance burned out to black in the Power supply board. Is it possible for any one to post the circuit diagram or a picture of the power supply board.

yup. those CCFL lamps are a big issue.

I had to replace them in several LCD monitors.

if the cathodes are not pulling the proper current the inverter will shut down. most power supplys have a PROTECT line now. when the inverter shuts down, it toggles PROTECT which may/may not go back to the CPU. but it DOES shut the main supply back into standby on various power supplies.

ive seen this in a few newer dell monitors and various others. but not viewsonics.

Well, I was thinking the same, but I replaced it with the same value as Q3 and also replaced power smd fuse and all it shows now is a blank white screen.
So I'm thinking it might be some MOSFET trasistor

If you need more help we will need more details and photos.
Tell us what it does from the moment it is plugged in to getting the white screen.
What does the power light do - any sounds - clicks hiss screech.
You should have it all connected up and a known working input from a pc.

Please post good clear pictures pictures of each board, front and back and close up of connectors, (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) using the manage attachments button, which is found by clicking "go advanced" under quick reply.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

My 3.5 years old monitor (BenQ SW2700pt) started to black out for 1-2 sec every minute or so, it was doing this even with PC disconnected from it. I searched online and read that it's probably aging capacitors and there's a workaround to lower the brightness.

I lowered it from 100 to 65% and it indeed helped, but after a couple of months the issue returned... I continued to lower the brightness, but it helped only for a couple of hours at most, then I needed to lower it further... Turning the monitor off and waiting for it to cool down also helped for a short time, after which it...

                        Hi There,

This TV was auto switching off after few seconds with some vertical lines on the screen, so got a new TCON board and replaced it.

After replacing the TCON board it was working fine and i set it up with everything, used for few hours, then had the bright idea to update the software on it. During the update process, TV switched off and now no audio or video. No relay switch sound.
