    ELEFW605 finding an EEPROM

Hey guys, I need some help tracking down either the right eeprom or a modestly cheap main board.

The main board i have is ST3393LU-A9H but also has SY14466. Not sure which is the actual board name. I can find tons of cheap results on ST3393LU But they all have different SY numbers even though a lot of them look exactly like my board.

It makes me uneasy to buy them so i figured an eeprom would work but when i go to shopjimmy and type in SY14466 it pulls up only one eeprom that says its for location U3, but my eeprom is at location U5

When i type in the TV model into shop jimmy it pulls up a few eeproms, only one says location u5 and thats for serial L1400. Mine is serial K1401.

So my question is firstly, is it likely those cheaper boards probably wouldnt work? and if not what can i do about finding an eeprom replacement.

just for reference heres the board im looking at. marked SY15075. I also uploaded my board for reference. Its the one with the red dot. Theres the same number of pins on every connector as mine.. All the locations seem to be labeled the exact same thing.

Wonder if this is a match, I would call or email them to make sure: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Element-SY1...gAAOSwJnRbhXiI

Yeah i actually did see that earlier. The problem is there seems to be no way to match which eeprom works with my tcon >< I sent a support message to shopjimmy so we'll see what they say.

I'm trying very hard to not waste money. And that eeprom has the wrong location and mainboard number so i'm not sure if thats the best option. Thanks for trying. Ive been searching the internet for days looking for one that says k1401 so im not sure what the deal is.

Also would love if anyone knew how to get the backlights on so i can be sure the screen is fine. that knowledge would be amazing right now. The typical just unplugging the main isnt working.

This combo looks close but I'm not sure how many numbers have to match, see the note in red on that page, best to call or email them I guess: https://www.shopjimmy.com/element-el...1-see-note.htm

Maybe try using 1k resistor to jumper ps-on pin with 5 volt standby pin, may need to use another resistor to jumper standy to blu-on or drv-on, not exactly sure, can't get a good look at the connector pinout legend, if you do jumper, MAKE SURE the cable from powerboard to mainboard is UNPLUGGED.

Heres the Pinout I was thinking 5v to ps-on or 5v to the BL_ON which i think means backlights on

With the 1k resistor of course.

The one in post #3 does say serial k1401 in title description.

Yes use a 1k resistor for 5v to ps-on and another resistor 5v to bl-on, if all is good the backlights should come on and stay on while jumpered.

Yeah i sent them a message about it. But im not very hopeful. k1401 is the only thing that matches. the board and tv model number is different

thanks for your help. i'll try the jumper as soon as i can find some 1k resistors haha

Ok, looks like you have to match more than just the serial then, you would think they could make it easier to match these things up.

My point exactly!! You go to shopjimmy right now and type in SY14466 which is my exact model main board, even in the picture it shows everything right. And when you pull up the eeprom it says its for this exact board but says "Location U3 ONLY" on my board u3 is a voltage regulator. U5 is where the eeprom is!! and theres no location u5 eeprom for my board. it doesnt say out of stock or anything. it literally just doesnt show it as a possible option

That U3 eeprom is for the frc board not the main board
Is this the eeprom? Element ELEFW605 (L1400 Serial) Main Board Loc. U5 EEPROM ONLY https://www.shopjimmy.com/element-el...eprom-only.htm

Oh you're right. I'm thinking that even though SY14466 is printed on the main board, that might actually be the frc board number. and they should come in pairs.

With the whole mainboard only being about 10 more bucks, I'd go with mainboard since it could be other than bad eeprom, one here may be a match, I would contact seller and give m your numbers, they will know if it's a match: https://www.ebay.com/itm/DWM55F1G1-T...frcectupt=true

Ok, now I see, you need to match up the white sticker numbers, not the silkscreen printing on the board, those are generic numbers. I was thinking that sy14466 was on your sticker.
