better than nothings to watch.... or ???
if you were not satisfied with it now. you should start trouble shooting the 4 line you hide, follow them on the downside Taps and check the components are connected to them line by line. any line you do post photo of it here we may help

Play around with the width of the tape, see what happens.

thanks Diah I will see how I go as I said the colour is slightly off on the left of the panel looking straight at it,


and thanks nomoresonys I will try what you have suggested as I have moved it over about 6 lines on that side so far.

ill try it again I have nothing to lose but I can get a picture out of it all be it a little off on the top left corner

What is this sorcery? covering some LVDS pins with scotch tape allows the double-image and horizontal lines to disappear?

I've never seen such a thing.

Does the tape need to be applied at mainboard AND panel ends? or just panel end or just mainboard end?

yeah cover the ends on the screen side of the LVDS cable,


as for the pixel line its gone as well.

just need to work out the colour issue but thats it really.

So he double images at the bottom section of the screen are gone?
BTW, what is the LCD panel model number?

Hi, i think there's not much more you can do to improve this, from your pic. i cannot see the brightness problem you talk, but you can try to locate more precisely the right trace to cover and not the others, needed a bright tcon picture with board markings well visible..

hi davi.p the T-Con is intergreated in to the mainboard so there isn't a T-Con as such.


I can live with the brightness issue.
