thanks for the reply I have checked the speakers and I get sound through them if I power them from my amp at low volume I also tested them with a volt meter and they test good.
any other ideas ?
could it be a missing power rail from the power supply ?

Sky Glass Gen 2 No Sound Issue
Hi guys I purchased a second hand sky glass tv last week.
it had no sound so I ordered a tested mainboard from eBay and there is still no sound output.
any ideas what I can check next ?

well I did further checking and your correct Q6050 must have been holding on by a whisker as it fell off when I went to probe it.
is it east to replace it ??
all the tracks look ok.

MacBook Pro 13 inch 2017 Fan Issue
hi guys I have the following MacBook Pro A1706 13 inch 2017
I have a problem with fan speed I get an error on the right fan but I have replaced both fans and the right fan is still running at full speed
I have tried to use Macs fan control to slow it down but no go.
ive also tried and SMC reset and a PRAM reset and again no change.
while looking over the logic board I have found an issue with a cap down by C6505 C6503 and C6504 ive looked in the board view and I believe that's to do with the PPBUS_G3H
the Mac is running as I said... -
further update it was my USB C cable that was the issue second display is perfect.Leave a comment:

well after trying with my USB C Monitor its not detected on the Mac ???
but the strange thing is the display is now working again.
could it be my cable isn't good enough ??

I will take a look at there website now.
I got the tool from nerdtool1 so im sure it will come in handy some day.
but on another issue would my sensor cause the display not to wake up at all ??
even after the battery has been disconnected ?
it was fine until I damaged my lid angle sensor but I can hardly get it to display anything now.
and if I do it works perfectly fine until its shut down again fully.

Macbook Pro 16" 2019 No Display After Lid Sensor Issue
hi guys i have the above MacBook pro 2019 16"
i did some dust cleaning recently and i somehow damaged the lid angle sensor. so i purchased the nerdtool1 lid angle sensor calibrating tool and a new sensor.
installed it and followed the instructions to program the sensor.
and now im still getting no display out of the MacBook pro.
its booting up ok ive noticed the keyboard and touchbar is all lighting up.
it was also showing a display before i replaced the damaged sensor and now i cant get any display out of it.

MacBook Pro A2289 No Power
hi guys I have a 2020 MacBook Pro A2289 it has the i5 CPU and is now acting as if its dead,
when I plug in the charger cable with a volt meter thing connected as well its drawing 20.3v and 1.11A
if I press the power button nothing happens.
but if I hold the power button for 7 seconds or more the voltmeter drops all the amps down to 0.00A but voltage stays the same.
any ideas where I can check ??
from what I can gather it must be charging the battery at 1.11A as nothing happens when the power button is pressed. I can successfully... -
I can confirm there is no short with the PU501 removed from the mainboard.

Asus Strix X99 Gaming
hi guys I have the following motherboard. Asus Strix X99 Gaming
I went to power on the computer today and its as if the motherboard is dead.
I get a brief debug code of 00 then the PSU clicks off.
and it continues until I unplug the PSU.
ive reset the CMOS done a bios flashback and so far the issues persists.
ive notice tho that on the Motherboard PU501 is very hot even with just the PSU turned on and the motherboard showing the standby lights.
any ideas where I can go with this ?

MacBook Pro 2014 Retina Power Cycling
hi guys I have the above mentioned MacBook Pro 2014 Retina 13"
and its power cycling no matter what I do.
it powers on chime turns off does the same over and over.
I've checked voltages and they are going up and down the 5v one gets there then falls to 0v 3v3 also does the same thing goes up to 3v then falls off.
any ideas where I can check next ?
I did notice a slight bit of corrosion in the are highlighted in the image.
none of the water indicators have changed colour so I'm not sure how it got wet there... -

hi sorry its my fault for not doing what you asked
so ive set my meter to 20K and it goes to 1 which is over, ive set it on 2000kohms and it stops at 530Kohms
