This TV came in with the picture flashing rapidly on and off. I tested the LED's and they are fine. I then checked to voltages to the led's from the power supply and the voltages were changing from high to low on led+ on the left and changing too fast to tell what voltage's were on led+ on the right. Has anyone ever seen this before?

Re: LG 50lb6300 voltages are reversed
You have tow boost converter circuits for two LED strings.
The two LED strings are not the same size.
How about good clear straight shots of the whole top and bottom side of the board?
Also what Voltages did you test on the connector of the power supply board that goes to the main board, what are they? You need to put down pin name of each pin and follow by the Voltage reading.Never stop learning

Re: LG 50lb6300 voltages are reversed
the point that you are using for "reference" which is the black lead IS NOT at ground potential (most likely floating) and hence any measurement to that "reference" is probably not going to be what you are looking for.
you can verify ALL your ground points and other areas with the set unpowered / unplugged and measure resistance between various "ground points" that you think should be grounds. They should all measure "0". Once you have determine that, then you can proceed to measuring things again.Comment

Re: LG 50lb6300 voltages are reversed
Just to be clear, you are saying that the 3.5V, 12V, and 24 all shown as - 3.5V, -12V, -24V? Can we see the probes hookup and the screenshot of the meter display?

Re: LG 50lb6300 voltages are reversed
I turned down the backlight on all inputs to 50% and it ran fine for one day. I turned it on this morning and back to the same problem. I ordered a power supply since the main board is not available and I will hope that is it.Comment

by CapacitorialHello guys,
I have a Philips 240B7QPJEB. The monitor seems completely dead.
I opened it and measured the voltages of the powersupply. I found that a mosfet was dead and replaced it.
On the connector, that goes to the TCON board, all voltages 15-19V and 5V are present.
The small connector on the left of the PSU has two cables with 18V and all the other have 0.2V. It connects on this small connector on the left ontop of the panel. I guess the backlight? Seens fine I guess.
The weird thing is, that the Power LED is powered over the TCON board.
On The TCON...-

by PipolupsHi there !
I'm having an issue for several weeks with my quite old K70 LUX RGB keyboard. I haven't used it for few months, and once I setup up again my desktop computer, I got several dead LEDs on that keyboard. I tried the Corsair troubleshooting thing (disabling options in iCUE, ...) but nothing changed so I conclude that for some reason some LEDs went in retirement...😅
Decision taken to change these LEDs as I have access to desoldering iron and binocular magnifier, I wrote a ticket to tech support, hopping to obtain the LEDs reference and... They refused to tell me 🙄...10-08-2024, 11:58 AM -
by THE GTCSo I use this TV daily as a second monitor for my PC or my Playstation - at one point a few months back I tried to fix the problem - but in the process, I figured out something that works so I haven't posted this for awhile. It is an annoying trick to have to do though, so I decided to post about it to see if anyone could spot what's wrong. It baffles me because it works on it's own half the time.
When I first got this TV, I was told it wouldn't turn on, and of course I did the flashlight test, and the image was there. Also, the red LED on the front indicated that it had power (it... -
by seppdeHey,
I've recently sold a PC and (trying to reduce e-waste) told the buyer to bring me his old setup, and I'd take a look at it. Recently I've been trying to repair laptops, mainly, with so-so results.
I'm now looking at an AMD Desktop Kit with no display. Apparently this board reuses (possibly defective) Playstation 5 chips 4700s. It does not provide an internal GPU, or better say in any case it doesn't provide an output for the internal GPU.
There was one obvious fault: One of the caps of the CPU power rail was missing, that happened when the previous owner was changing...12-03-2024, 12:09 PM -
Hi all, first time seeing a LED problem this weird so I wanted to discuss with y'all before handing back this TV to my costumer.
This TV came to my shop with no picture but sound present. So I thought ok this must be a LED problem and I shine a light with my phone's torch amd and yup I see the image. So I disassemble it and before changing the LEDs I check the motherboard voltages (this unit works with an external 16V DC brick) and I see 54 volts at the input pin of LED strip, considering this TV has 2 strips of 7 LEDs which at 3~ volts it must be equal to like 42 volts. I remove... - Loading...
