Working on this unit, I have check voltage to main board and are getting the 13 & 3 volts. I have check voltage to t con board and get 12v on first 2 and zero on last 2 pins. The unit does power on and has backlight but no Video or sound. I was just getting backlight but I have messed with ribbon cables on t con board and now I get some red lines on left side of screen.

Re: sharp lc-60le640u
Replaced t-con for no change except to clear up the red line I caused, back to backlight but nothing else. I got some more reading from top of powerboard.
1- 12.1v. PNL 12v
3- -.009 GND
5- 13.1v UR 13.2v
7- 13.1v. UR 13.2v
9- .010. GND
11- .010. GND
13- 3.31v. AC_DET
15- 5.04v. BU 5v
17- 1.15v. PWM1
19- 1.3v. Dimmer
21- 1.15v. OFL
23- .000v. PWM2
Any suggestions from that, I can check the readings on the bottom if needed. I am not sure about 17 and 23. ThanksComment

Re: sharp lc-60le640u
Tcon is good. Panel is good. Sharp will fail if tcon cables are messed with while powered up. That's probably what happened. I suspect mainboard. Try heating up the mainboard with a hairdryer. probably bad bga under processor.Did I leave the soldering iron on?Comment

Re: sharp lc-60le640u
somewhat expected (white).... is the white uniform when seen on both sides?
based on the card changes that you did so far, my guess would be a problem between the tcon and panel, potentially a smd component on the panel boards.
tracing the voltages from / at the tcon (labelled) and following those to the edge board might help.Comment

Re: sharp lc-60le640u
no problem... yes indeed they look ok. This appears to show that the panel itself is not a direct problem. However, some how the panel is not being driven.... either no signal or some operating voltage is not getting to the panel. Check the voltages on the tcon.Comment

Re: sharp lc-60le640u
See if you have voltage on each side of tcon fuse, negative meter lead on a ground.Comment

alas, you picture doesn't show any TPs unlike others... maybe the other side?Last edited by budwich; 02-19-2019, 07:31 PM.Comment

by ngmlI am trying to repair an LG split AC indoor unit, which does not start and gives a CH05 error code.
This indicates an error in the communication between the outdoor and the indoor unit.
The outdoor unit is fine, so the problem is the indoor PCB.
The indoor unit is an LG PC09SQ NSJ (3SNM09JA2FA), and the PCB has the following type number: EAX35907219-1.2 (see photo1)
I changed optocouplers ICO1X & ICO2X and the NPN transistor S9013 which drives optocoupler ICO2X (see photo2), but this did not remedy the fault.
Does anybody have the schematics of this board,...2 Photos02-01-2025, 12:55 PM -
by CoinCoin88Hello everyone,
I'm turning to the Badcaps community to help me troubleshoot the radio Rx card from my (old) garage door opener. While I could just ditch that card and replace the whole system, I first would like to understand "why" it suddenly stopped working, because that's just how I am wired...!
Some basics: the receiver works on a 30.875 Mhz frequency. Yes, I'm aware this is not in use anymore in a looot of places. It does not use any rolling code, it's just a regular dip-switch code that you have to set up on both the receiver and transmitter. The receiver... -
by DrDosI have finished my work. The new lights come on except the one for stereo, I reversed the bulbs to no affect, anyway, the unit powers on, relay clicks. I have no DC voltage in speaker outputs, I also do not have any AC in the speaker outputs. There is some faint crackling in the speaker. This unit cranks up loud so I had the volume on very low. Everything seems to be fine but I can't really check the switch until I can get sound out of the outputs. I was going to do caps for the power supplys and the tone board but thought if it was cranking loud at one time maybe just leave it alone until it...1 Photo

by petersorHi Folks,
I'm filling some downtime trying to resurrect a Sharp LC60E88UN. It was easy to find the service manual online, but it doesn't contain the schematic for the power board (Sharp RDENCA369WJQZ / Delta DPS-343AP A, Rev 01F) Power Supply Unit. I've looked everywhere I can think of using both part numbers and can't find it. Can someonee with access to this document share it?
Symptoms - no audio/video/backlight and blink code: 1 x power light followed by 1 x power and OPC lights together. Seems like a Lamp Error, but I'd like to check power supply components and... -
by nobbnobb1Hi guys,
Trying to salvage a Bose Companion 5 computer speaker system that powers off shortly after powering on. It's got a primary USB input (built in DAC) and an aux 3.5mm input. The USB appears to be the primarily source that tells the unit to power on (control pod LED goes green) as the unit has no power switch.
When I first connect power to the unit, plug in the USB, it will play audio nicely for a minute before it drops out and the unit appears to go into standby (control pod LED goes red). It stays in standby and I cannot seem to power it back on without physically...-
