    Samsung 55" UHD TV Model UA55KU7531KXXA

    Hi guys,
    I have this fault that has me running in circles. This set was smacked by a power surge and i replaced the PSU. but now a battling with another issue.This set has 3 HDMI ports namely HDMI1/DVI, HDMI2 and HDMI3. Only HDMI1 has no sound when playing a bluray player on that port. Picture is perfect. 2 & 3 are perfect. RF audio is perfect.
    Firstly i reset the tv to factory defaults and then get a weird picture like the colors are all in the wrong places. So i went into picture mode, advanced settings and found "Video format" had defaulted to CbCrY or something so i changed it back to RGB and got the picture fine but still no sound.
    I then did a software upgrade also with the same results, no sound.
    Can it be that something has changed in service mode causing the HDMI1 sound format to have changed.
    I have no idea how to access service mode on this set as the remote only has a few buttons.
    Any ideas?

          there are no defect at your Samsung.. HDMI1/DVI it mean it handle only Video Signal with out Audio Signal. such PC out put.. the sound signal should be feed to the set with Audio Signal IN

              Ok, I also own a Samsung smart TV and i can do that test to prove it to myself. I never noticed it before. Thanks, will give feedback.

                  Thanks Diah, this is only my second Smart TV that i am attending to and don't know their tricks. Can you believe that i contacted Samsung's Technical advice centre via a chat group and they did not have a clue what i was talking about...

                                  Follow-up: I experiment with my Samsung last night.
                                  I have Samsung with HDMI/DVI input, I use my DVD player with it and get sound fine, but if you set the name to PC/DVI, then there will be no sound, you will get soundwith the input name blank or any other name except PC/DVI.

                                              Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
                                              - sound and backlight, but no picture
                                              - when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
                                              - it keeps rebooting
                                              - without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
                                              - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
                                              - when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

                                              I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

                                              Hi all

                                              I was just given a Samsung TV with the issue. I read various threads and videos and attempted the ribbon tape method to gain an image, but no luck.



                                              Symptom:
                                              No picture no sound.
                                              When I plug in the power cord, Backlight LED turns on for a half second and then turns off. The red LED next to the power button located center bottom flashes 2 or 3 times. When the power button is pressed after, it does the same thing.
                                              No sound at all.



                                              What I tried:
                                              1. I tried unplugging the left or right ribbon...

                                              Hello all,

                                              This is my first post, but long term lurker on the form learning as much as possible about these TV's. I was given this TV as due to a power outage of constant On/off of power to TV. The TV originally would just click on and off (Typical Reboot Cycle). I opened the back of the TV, and troubleshooted by taking the 96 pin LVDS off one at a time to see if I had a picture on either side. I finally fixed the reboot cycle by finding the error on the left side of the screen off connector CN 1301, and the TV would stay on. Further troubleshooting led me to the driver boards where...

                                              Hi,

                                              I got Samsung 55 inch QLED QE55Q67RAT where there is no sound at all and when using youtube for example picture is not clear and noisy.
                                              I have swapped Burr-brown 88002A chip on the mainboard but didn't help, different set of speakers didn't help either

                                              Mainboard is based on pcb BN41-02695A BN94-14007B

                                              I will appreciate any help
