I did try the other ports and I felt they were not good either
They dropped out while watching and if i wiggle the HDMI cable they drop out easily
However I did not try to adjust the output settings and this i will try

Looked at HDMI ports and chip and surrounding capacitors
Cannot really see anything
Ran sharp spike along HDMI port legs and they all seem secure
Checked for shorts on all the SMD capacitors and cannot see anything
Might try connect HDMI and then use thermal camera to see if anything shows uoLeave a comment:

Update
The TV works, it turns on and the back light works
There is power button under the TV which needs to be on
Then use remote or standy button on side of TV to turn it on
However, when I test the the TV using HDMI the picture seems to connect then drop out
It says either no signal or not supported
So I still need to solve the HDMI problemLeave a comment:

Uploaded some photos
I have no power to the fuses on the T con and no power to the fuses on the inverter board
from the PSU to the mainboard I only have 5.1 V as STBY voltage where it says STB
No other voltages on that connecter are present
I did lazy check on the mother board at some of the inductors and found no power
i am going to remove the PSU and have a clean of it and have a look as well

Hello All
Have this TV and just started working on it
Removed back panel and cannot see obvious problem
Used thermal camera and the boards appear to not have power going to them
Discon M/B to PSU and fault did not change
Did same with T-CON board and fault did not change
Next I will check if there is power going to the T-CON and the LCD inverter boards and the Main Board M/B

This one was solved
Added sticky tape to the buffer board U shaped flex cable.
Covered about 6 tracks
TV is now working fine
Screen looks good
Cannot see any lines

Samsung UA50TU8000W no picture and no sound
Hello All
have seen posts on this model in here but my problem sounded different so thought i would create a thread
TV will not turn on
There is no standby light
When I press ON button for remote the red standby light does flash but no picture and no sound
From the back of the TV I can see the red light on the back of the mother board
Holding torch to the screen I cannot see a picture
I removed the back cover
Observing the boards I cannot see any damage
I disconnected the main board from the power supply

Hello all
thought I would start a thread on this model
connected to power
cannot see a standby light
when i press the power button on the TV a standby light does appear and it is white
there is no picture and no sound
i looked for picture with a torch and could not see one
i pressed the power button again and the standby light went out
shall start to remove rear cover and look what i can see
