Replaced blown leds with some i had but seems not quite right.
Replacements were supposed to be:
3030 3v 1w
Vf 3.05-3.65v (250mA)
6000-6500K
120-130lm
but then chinese imports so who knows what they actually sent.
Think the colour temp is wrong, could see the difference before re-fitting but just wanted to see how it would look with panel back on. Not actually that noticeable whilst colours on the screen, its when its a greyish or white screen.
The black band across the top is of course where an led has gone out again, perhaps poor soldering, underated mA or just cheapo crud. Or could be another 'old' led gone out.Attached Filesif you find these attachements useful please consider making a small donation to the site

LG Inotek LED has Large pad as Anode.
Most Samsung LED backlights have Large pad as Cathode.

Funnily enough I ordered some of those earlier today, from a different supplier mind you and paid a slightly higher price for mine though, but will still have to wait around 4-6 wks delivery time.

Did you get a chance to try these ones?
Mine arrived today but look very similar to the ones I have already replaced so think I will have the same problem.

I think I may have the same issues but I'm only reading 60 volts on the +VLED and 0 on the -VLED. Do you still think it is an LED that is blown?Comment

I have almost same problem but with 49pus6561/12.
Sound works, ambient lighting works, with flashlight I see picture.
So its backlight issue.
I measured +VLED to chasis GND and its 57v
When measuring -VLED to +VLED I see voltage between 8v - 60v. the voltage goes light up, down up down up down.
Even when backlight connector is removed. I also hear something clicking but cannot find or feel what it is.
Is this job for new PSU?Comment

so i have this issue i see that led will light up but when i disconnect Tcon one cable screen is white but when all connected still no image. I suspect the mainboard. but where to search the problem on mainboard is it the chip under heatsink?Comment

Hi guys, I changed my backlight to a 5g in Samsung but the broken leds burned the thick plastic panel . I give the photo. Do you think if I try to rotate the panel, with the botton on the top I have a good image? Becacause now how u can see, on the light color I sse the leds because of the burned on the plastic diffuser.... -
I raised the question of whether PWM on the power board "dim" pin would be a reasonable assumption for controlling the backlight of a Philips TV (55put6101/12): https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...d-tv-backlight. I didn't receive any insights there so I went ahead and tried it.
The setup is basically:
Rpi3 hardware PWM → 220 Ohm → NPN transistor → dim pin
Transistor is switching the 3.5 V supply on the power board.... -
Hello,
I'd like to repair a Philips 55PUS6704.
It turns on and you can see the backlight, hear the sound but no picture.
When I disconnect one of the T-con cables, half of the screen turns white.
right cable disconnected= right side white
left cable disconnected= left side white
When I tape like 6 or 7 pins of one cable it looks like the picture attached. I already tried another T-con board without success.
There are no shorts on the the mainbaord and the two lcd panel boards...at leat I couldn't find any.

this tv is throwing me for a loop. do samsung tvs no longer have the backlight self test feature built into the power supply?
i tested the backlight with my LED tester and it lights up both strips. one of them reads 100v and the other reads 63.7v.
unplugged mainboard from power supply but left backlight plugged in, and then plugged psu wall power in. expected to see backlights light up but see nothing.
according to how ive diagnosed in the past, this would almost always be a bad power supply. replacement power supply was cheap like 20$ from ebay. but still i get not even... -
Hello, I have an "ASUS ROG Strix G713QR" laptop, and for approx. 3 months I have the following problems:
1. Laptop keyboard doesn't work
2. The backlight on the laptop keyboard doesn't work
3. The x2 side LEDs (red) on the laptop don't work
The power button works, the touchpad works, and all the USB, HDMI, Ethernet, etc. ports work.
I already tried to reinstall all the drivers and reinstall Windows. So I don't know what to try anymore that is software-related.
But I am strongly aiming that it is somehow a BIOS-related problem,...
