    I started measuring backlight LED's
    There is two LED's in one "chip"
    I measured every single of them. Most of the chips, both LED's turn on and meter shows 2.3v
    Some of them turn on half way. Like one is super dim and other is bright and meter shows 1.3v
    Found also that some do not turn on at.
    The chips that do not turn on at all, my fluke is showing 0.8v for most of them. But also there are leds that do not turn on and meter is showing 2.3v
    Tried both ways.
    So the backlight might be the iss...

    Mobo cable unhooked and the voltage starts dropping from 51v to 0v sloooooowlyyy.
    After maybe 3-4minutes there is 0v.

    As soon as I plug the cable back. It goes straight to 51v

    When mobo cable is attached. I can find 51v and 1.2v

    LED cable unhooked, there is still same 51v that goes between 48 and 51v.
    No effect on the two LED cables...

    I know this feeling
    I usually do one thing at the time and test.
    I've learned my lesson with "do alot and 1/20 things fixed it"

    But anyway cannot close this thread because Im here back with blinky blinky fault light....
    the LED pins that were 59v before are now 51v. after 10 secconds they drop to around 48v and then back to 51v

    CPU on the motherboard gets "warm"
    And the 51v on the LED backlight pins drop to 0v when the front panel light starts blinking twi...

    Good to know.
    These "broken backlight" TV's are free and usually under 50€ fix.

    This Philips now seems to work fine. Still powering on normally and no random white noise lines.

    These kind of fixes I hate. Dont know what was wrong.
    Same with cars. I have been fixing car alot and half of them are "no idea what fixed it"
    Usually check engine light. read codes... clear codes and car works perfectly for years....

    This one showed nothing. blinked the fault light and that was that....

    Yesterday before posting here I cleaned every connector with CRC Precision Cleaner PRO that is made for electronic and contact cleaning etc...
    Also i've pressed on connectors and replugged them all many times to make sure its good connection etc...
    I have removed every connector and replugged them all. I've removed motherboard and psu from the tv 5 times at least while testing things.
    Yesterday before sleep I just unplugged motherboard cable from psu. nothing else changed...
    Wierd things...

    The mobo cable was unplugged from PSU the whole night. Now I replugged it and started measuring the LED pins.
    At first I saw something like 39v and also found 14v. Then after 10 secconds I found the pin that was 39v is now 59.3v.
    Looked at the TV's panel from the front and to my surprise... the TV was on. I did not press any power button. There is picture in attachments.

    Now im scared of turning it off
    I'll be posting here when it shuts off again...

    Check the attachment picture.
    Here's what I found when mobo cable disconencted.
    pin8=0 pin7= 0
    pin10 =3.4v pin9 = 3,4
    pin12= 0 pin11= 0
    pin14= 0 pin13= 0
    pin16= 0 pin15= 0
    pin18= 0 pin17= 0
    pin20= 0 pin19= 0
    pin22= 0 pin21= 0
    pin24= 0 pin23= 0
    pin26= 0 pin25= 0
    pin28= 0 pin27= 0

    And with mobo cable connected I cannot measure the other row but the one I can shows 12.2v on pin 11,13,21 and 25...

  • Philips 47pfl6008s wont turn on

    Hello. Got my hands on Philips 47pfl6008s/12.
    Problem is that it does not turn on. Last owner said the problem came slowly.
    One day did not respond to remote, had to unplug from AC and then back and it worked. next day had to disconnect 3-4 times before it turned on.
    And then it went into hours of unplugging and replugging until it turned on.
    When I plug AC into tv, it does not respond to "turn on" button or anything else.

    After 10-15minutes the TV starts blinking red LED twice.
    So it blinks twice, then waits 3 seconds, then again twice...

  • Re: Philips 50PUT6400/12 no backlight

    I have almost same problem but with 49pus6561/12.
    Sound works, ambient lighting works, with flashlight I see picture.
    So its backlight issue.
    I measured +VLED to chasis GND and its 57v
    When measuring -VLED to +VLED I see voltage between 8v - 60v. the voltage goes light up, down up down up down.
    Even when backlight connector is removed. I also hear something clicking but cannot find or feel what it is.
    Is this job for new PSU?
