my SHARP LC-40LE810UN has issue help needed to find and fix.

    Hi everyone,
My sharp - LC-40LE810UN works excellent till last year , than problem starts
it still works excellent till it decide to drive me crazy. middle of normal viewing
it suddenly shut off and , power light blinks - 1 long (slow) + 3 short(FAST)
it start to happend from last year ,
i power restart tv with service screen - K - i found lamp error 5 , i reset , i also did factory init , and few other param to reset , all goes well and work till last week, the same problem jump back , i can reset again same way
but i am looking to find solution if there is any physical damage , like LED / bad CAP / its power board ?
when issue happend first time year ago , i open back panel , expect to see some swellon / busted cap etc but didn't saw anything , just vaccume lint and close.

    - 1 long + 3 short blinking code makes some confusion , some place it says few LED , or power board , also 3.3v logic board issue too...
    - also i notice the front power LED is glow quite weak , not bright enough while normal operation.

can any expert help and share on this issue . help appriciated , thanks in advance.

    thanks

Your LEDs are going out, keep the backlights as low as possible and keep using it until it dies then take the panel apart to get to the LED assemblies, it is not simple job.

          Thanks for reply,
seems issue not fixed , now while normal working screen suddenly goes off,
(one short + 1 long) blink starts before it was mostly (1 long +3 short )
, as i go in K mode to reset lamp error 4-5 ,

this one short +1 long blink create confusion,

issue is main power supply board or LED strip ??

          thanks in advance

I do not see 1 long 3 short error code in the service manual. Are you sure what you are seeing?

Re: my SHARP LC-40LE810UN has issue help needed to find and fix.

                hello experts,
seems this tv is bit crazy , based on blink code its shows it has one of LED stripe of few LED on stripe are bad , but latly tv doesn't do this(1-short 1-long ) blink so not sure its LED issue weather syptoms are LED issue

                - now it does often random power restart(REbooting) in middle of watching
no anykind of LED blink code

                - other thing is when i use remore control to switch off TV , picture on LCD screen goes off, the front power LED become dull and stay like that for hours , LCD screen stays energized (with dim purple blue shades- not completely black like switch off) remote control doesn't responsce , than i have to remove power plug for 10 second and tv works normally with Random power rebooting issue

can any experts give an idea whats could be issue, because of this new syptoms i didn't open panel for check LED

                help apriciated ,thanks in advance.

Sure i'm not good in english but reading you is also a pain..
I don't think LEDs are involved, when them fails them can't resurrect with a simple error flag remove!
This model has 2 common issues, the one the faulty AC-det signal from psu to mainb. that the guilt is optocoupler PC7730, the other is the faulty KIAxxxx (don't remember the name) on PSU, 12v regulator. Get the psu schematic by searching it's model, i think Delta DPS-126CP, then locate the component and test its voltage. Bye

You need to report the Voltage readings of the connectors PD, PL, and LB.
You MUST report the reading in this format:
                        Connector: ??
Pin Name: XXX, Voltage reading: ??? V
Pin Name: YYY, Voltage reading: ??? V
Pin Name: ZZZ, Voltage reading: ??? V

Hi, I'm wondering why the tv model is the same as mine but the psu is different and also 90 degrees rotated! Anyway it seems the components are the same and also almost the same markings, sorry the optocoupler is PC7703 not 7730 and the KIA chip is the one in TO220 with 4 legs Q7909 at bottom right..

                                yes Davi,
i agree with you and thought same , thats why i offer him $40 and he is ok with 7 days return warranty too. but definately tomorrow i will try to fault find my original board. the main issue for me is TV is not completely down it does rebooting randomly sometime 6-7 time in 1 hour sometimes it reboot only one time in 2-3 hours so when i will measure componant it may looks all fine because tv is fully operational. thats why i will gamble to replace both parts you mentioned !! thanks again and apriciated

the main issue for me is TV is not completely down it does rebooting randomly...
Sorry, forgot this, so maybe it's better , you can only have the optocoupler bad.
Yes the parts marked are right.

                                          Hello everyone,

I recently got a model Sharp TV, and I've noticed that the green power LED is flashing without any specific pattern. Additionally, there appears to be no voltage coming from the power board. I haven't observed any leaking or bulging capacitors, although the top of the larger capacitor doesn't seem to be perfectly flush with the jacket—if that makes sense.

Has anyone dealt with this issue before?

Help Needed: Samsung UE55MU8000 Dead - Possible Main Board Issue
                                          by Asraf Atb
                                          Hi everyone,

Im looking for some advice regarding my Samsung UE55MU8000 TV with main board model BN94-11606C. The TV suddenly stopped turning on and now shows no signs of life at all not even the standby light at the bottom.

Initially, I suspected an issue with the PSU, so I took it to a repair center. They tested it and confirmed that the PSU works perfectly, even on other TVs. Based on that, I started investigating the main board.

I disconnected the main board from the PSU, and the backlight turned on, which seems to confirm the main board is the issue....

                                          Issue with Sharp LC-47SB57UT
                                          by leorivers
                                          Hello,
I bought Sharp LC-47SB57UT 6 years ago. I had to have a vhf antenna to pick up one local station(koco channel 5 OKC). It has worked great up until a week ago. Sometimes I couldn't get channel 5, now I can't receive it at all. I can hook up a digital convertor box I have from another tv and can receive channel 5.
I think the antenna and cable is ok. I doubt that this would be the tuner board or possibly something else.

Any ideas where I should start?

                                          Hi All

Had tried using google lens but not much info was provided.
Appreciate if you can help identify this component.

                                          IC Seems to be SOT-23.

                                          Thank You...
