    Samsung UE40F6340 vertical green Lines

I got a problem with my tv a UE40F6340 there are green vertical lines on the whole screnn ever 2 inches
In the samsung chat the mean that this maybe a problem of the T-con but otherwise I have look some videos in you Tube where some people work with Heatguns on the mainboard.
So my question is, is this really a T-con problem or otherwise maybe the panel are gone?

    T-con or mainboard problem.

Could you please pictures of the back of the tv? ( Boards ).
I only repair Panasonic plasma tv's! Currently owning a TX-P55VT50 and still searching for a ZT60!

        Hello
        this is defect display
it is not a t-con defect
t-con gives figure deformity or does not give a figure at all
I had such a problem and I changed t-con and the same

its unlikely to be a panel / display problem. try disconnecting / reseating / cleaning the cables at the tcon to see if things change.

Non T-CON or Panel fault, its main board. packing your MB for 10 minute at 280-300 degree ( non air flow oven ) if you have hotair gun then do it only on the main processor.

You need to remove the cables etc from the mainboard. Remove the heatsink on the cpu.

Use a heatgun and flux and heat up the cpu. Watch out because the board will bend pretty quick. It is best to make some small balls with alluminium foil and reflow the cpu. Use youtube for example video's.

Btw , dont repair Samsung it is shit anyways.

To understand for sure between mainboard/tcon there is much probably an autotest in the service menu, if it plays well then it's mainboard.

Do you mean the selftest in the menue sektion, because I do the picture test the first two pictures felt but the thierd picture was ok, or did you mean autotest in the service menu where you also could do a cold factory reset?

I think you mean if the test didn t work or start sure?

                                Hi,
                                I have a same problem.
In Menu/Support/Autodiagnostics/Image test is first picture (beach) with problem, second picture (stripes purple, red, blue, black) with problem, but third picture (stripes white, yellow... red, blue, black) is without problem.

Why third picture is without problem.
                                Thanks
                                Joe

You must do the tests in service mode, one at a time and report here which ones shows defect..

                                          Hi All,

I have a Samsung LA46A950 that intermittently was displaying issues with evenly spaced vertical green lines only on dark / black areas - this has progressed to more often and blue lines sometimes, as well as a little image distortion.

My initial suspicion was the T-CON board, which I took out and cleaned but the issue persists. A heat gun on all of the control boards makes no noticeable change. Ive also reseated the T-CON to panel ribbons (4 of them) and moving them while the panel is on doesn't seem to change the issue.

                                          Below are some photos...

I have a Samsung P2770H monitor, on which I replaced the main board because it has an issue that it would restart itself every X minutes, that resolved that issue.

Now, a few months later I turn the pc on and find 3 1px vertical green lines on the monitor, the lines wont show up on a screenshot. Does the same with dvi or hdmi.

I opened it up and made sure the panel connection to the board wasn't loose and the flat cable looks ok. Pressing the connectors while the monitor is on sometimes changes the line colors from green to blue or yellow, but the lines are always...

                                          Greetings,

I've bought a used Samsung UN65NU6900FXZC LED TV. It worked fine for some time and then developed, at first, a single very thin (1 pixel) vertical stable blue line, from top to bottom, close to the left edge of the screen. Now it's 3 lines on the left. When I connect HDMI sources the number of the thin lines grow. After disconnecting and cold discharging I am back to 2 lines. The lines disappear at a rate of 15-20 minutes per line. So it does not look like a damaged LED panel. Any advice? Thanks...
