Ensure that you are feeding a good signal along with also trying different menu screens to see show as much about what is happening on the screen. My guess would be an SMD capacitor on the bottom edge board might be bad.... but that's going on very little. Where did you get your tcon from? what's history on the set that caused the first post (ie. solarization).
That is how I received the TV in the first photo no history report before that. I was measuring the voltages on the t-con board when the TV got vertical lines across it not sure what I done for that to have happened. With new t-con board (purchased from an eBay seller) the lines still persist in the same way as the old one. Pressing menu on the remote or anything has no affect the lines are in a solid state and do not move or change colors when pressing anything on the remote control. I couldn't get a picture with my ribbon cable only plugged into the right side of the panel one side of the screen is literally just a shade or 2 brighter and my camera can't even pick it up. I'll check out the caps and see if I find anything for now.

I may pick up a 55LW6500 that doesn't power on just in case mine is beyond my ability to repair. I believe that model has identical parts.

Don't want to leave this thread on a cliff hanger.... I was unable to find any bad caps on the panel PCB's. Guess somewhere I really messed up and destroyed the panel somehow. I let that other TV slip away from me but will keep my parts and maybe come across another same model TV so I can get one working. Until then thank you all for your generosity of helping me out!

Those lines look like the cables are not seated properly. Are the ribbons "offset" slightly from the tcon connectors by chance ?

Thanks for the reply I've re-seated them several times they seem to look as if they are aligned properly. Maybe I could have damaged one by mistake?

I found another 55LW5600 model TV and bought it for $60. Stand by came on but no backlights or picture. I threw the mainboard from the other TV in it and got backlights, sound, and solarized picture just as the first TV was doing.

VIZIO E70-E3 Half picture with half TCON
              by Fly_Among_Stars
              Hi,
              I have a VIZIO E70-E3.
Symptoms: Black screen, no picture, but LED backlights are working.
I probed the power board and voltages are as listed on the board.
              Main board appears fine, too.
I believe the problem is either a bad T-CON board, or connection to LCD, or bad LCD.
There are two separate ribbon cables feeding the LCD.
If both are connected, the screen is black.

If only the ribbon cable that feeds the right side of the screen (when viewed from the front) is disconnected, the left side of the screen shows picture and...

Samsung LCD TV no picture backlight on no 12v at tcon
              by shelby5041
              hi
i have a samsung lcd tv

it powers on with sound and backlight but no picture

all voltages from PS are good 12v 3.3v and 5v

whats odd is that at the tcon i tested voltage across the fuse on the tcon and i get 0v

i figured main board issue..so i ordered a used main board....when i put replacement main board in i still have same issue

no 12v at the tcon fuse

i disconnect the panel ribbon cables to rule out any panel issues and i still have no 12v at the tcon fuse

              the odds of having 2...

TCL 50S535 bad tcon or panel issue?
              by x_orange90_x
Just bought this for 10 bucks yesterday hoping to fix it. The guy said water dropped inside from a dehumidifier hose and it started showing black and white vertical bars then went blank. When I got it home and turned it on it came on fine and displayed correctly but I was noticing faint vertical bars in the image. After a little bit I turned it off and back on and it was a black screen again. I opened it up to check for water damage and corrosion but didn't find anything of the sort. I cleaned the ribbons anyway and reconnected them but still got a blank screen. If I disconnect the right side...

T-con suspect issue. Both ribbon cables no picture. One ribbon cable ok. (58pus8545)
              by Tr0ll
Hi guys! I realized you have a lot of knowledge here so i am hoping you could point me in right direction with my odd issue.

The Tv is a Philips 58PUS8545/12, it had no picture but working backlights.

              Original T-con:
Opened the Tv and tested to unplug one ribbon cable at a time. With this test i could see that i got fine picture on both halves as long as there was only one ribbon cable connected, with two connected picture were gone.

              First replacement T-con:

I thought it might be t-con and ordered new t-con from china(supposedly tested)...

SAMSUNG UN55KS9000F picture fades then distorts into vertical lines after 20 seconds
              by JJAAMM
This was my main TV for the last 6 years. I'm not inclined to throw out a $2600 TV so quickly so I'm trying to investigate the issue.

              Problem
TV was disconnected from power for 6 months during construction. When I plugged it yesterday picture was fine, after 30 seconds it dimmed then started developing horizontal lines, picture then starts to ghost vertically until it degrades into vertical streaks. TV always displays a perfect picture when cold. I can unplug TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in and picture is restored for 20 seconds. I can also keep it in standby mode...
