Re: Samsung UE32D4003BW Backlight problem.
The odd thing is that the panel started showing horizontal lines after a few hours of testing....
Maybe the mainboard is breaking down after all....Comment

Re: Samsung UE32D4003BW Backlight problem.
The picture was fine when I started the TV
after half an hour is started showing some barely visible interlacing..
After three hours the interlacing was clearly visible , but not every other line. there were 2 areas with problematic display...
I will take a photo tomorrow and post it...Comment

Re: Samsung UE32D4003BW Backlight problem.
Hello, just a wild guess.
Does your tv have separate t-con board? Or is it integrated on the main? I was thinking, that maybe the tcon drives the dimming signal, and if the tcon started failing, that would explain the dimming problem AND the lines.
But besides, you should do 2 things:
Make a few pictures of the whole set, without the back cover, and a few of the main board and tcon, if given sparate.
Your problem getting lines after some time means, that the set operates after a cold start, but as it is warming up, something goes sideways. It doesn't necessarily mean panel failure, but we should investigate the other possibilities first.Cheers, JanosComment

This model does not have a separate Tcon board.Comment

Re: Samsung UE32D4003BW Backlight problem.
I find the problem with the lines....
Accidentaly I have tear the flatcable between the panel and the t-con....
Bad luck.
After so much search and effort fixing the original problem, I created an unsolvable one.....
Anyway, the original problem was bypassed by cutting the dim line between the board and the psu.
Thanks for your input guys!Comment

by fanaticgameshello I have a backlight problem on this TV, if I unplug the cn201 cable the backlight works perfectly and the voltages are 13v if I connect the cn201 cable the backlight goes off and the voltage drops to 12v, I assume it's a motherboard problem, the question is has anyone had a similar problem? I want to understand if the motherboard is repairable or it's not worth wasting time...

Samsung BN44-00284A in a Samsung LE40B755 TV bought 2009.
In November 2020 the TV didn´t turn on only flashing red diod on front off TV.
I then opened up the TV and found bulged capacitors on the inverter/powerboard.
I changed all capacitors except the main two 450V 100uf capacitors.
The TV has worked pefectly since.
But this week it started to turn off the backlight. Audio on TV still works.
Sometimes it turn off the backlight after 10 seconds but sometimes it works for hours.
Any suggestions on what might... -
Hi everyone!
Hope you're all having a great day, and thank you very much for stopping by and taking the time to read this post to help me with my parents' Samsung TV.
My issue: No backlight.
Model: QE82Q70RAT
Type No: QE82Q70RAT
The TV was already serviced by Samsung once under warranty for the exact same issue, but six months after the fix, the backlight went out again. Now, Samsung is asking for nearly the same price as a brand new TV to fix this with the same 6-month guarantee.
So hopefully, I can fix this cheaper.

by howardc64TV was fixed just after removing Samsung's rear snap cover.
This curved TV's construction is rather interesting. When the snapped on back is removed, rest of the TV will relax the curvature. Top of LCD panel is loose as it wants to straighten out against the slightly curved bezel. Snapped back provide most of the curvature shape. So just simple disassembly of rear cover will allow the rest of the TV frame to relax its curvature. Thats probably what fixed it but no idea which connection. 4x LEDs are edge lit.
Maybe PSU->backlight connector didn't have a good contact?...07-23-2025, 12:34 AM - Loading...
