is ps\on present. and all other voltages.
if pfc present.is boosted pfc present if it powers on.

from the info so far, it was looking like a main board issue to me.
WHY CAN'T PHILIPS USE PHILLIPS HEAD SCREWS?

      VIZIO D55-D2
ACD Voltage = ????, and other Voltages????

Your main board has two Boost converter circuits:
Booster #1: L8064, Q2409, D105. Check Booster output test point TP 89 (by LED connector CN8010) when TV is first turned on.
Booster #2: L8066, Q2410, D107. Check Booster output test point TP 118 (by LED connector CN8011) when TV is first turned on.
The boosted should be higher than the inout Voltage of 20V feeding the boost converter.
You have 12LED strings controlled by 12 PWM control MOSFETs (4 on the top side, 8 on the bottom side).

Re: New Project VIZIO D55-2 No Backlights..

OK I did a little outside the box thinking..

Got in nice comparable SHARP yesterday.. Same type (LED, SMART etc etc) but with a cracked screen... The Main Board even had identical ports on the Main Board. At least externally..

So thinking I may have just gotten lucky, I cracked open the case. Nope.. Internally, the parts are different. Way different..

But then I noticed that both are 55" Panels.. Check the tab bond boards and the TCON and they are identical as well.

So I am thinking to myself, I think "Hmmmmmmm Might it be??"...

So I pull of the cracked panel from the SHARP and took the panel from the VIZIO (which was already tore down... Placed the panel on the SHARP. Everything lined up..

Hooked it all up and powered up.. NO joy... Scrambled red bar down the center.. Well, crap, I think.. Then it occurs to me that the TCON and the panel might be a set and have to go together. Pulled the TCON off the Vizio and put it on the SHARP...

Long story short.. (too late ) it worked!!!

Thanx for all the help on the VIZIO.. Sorry ta wastes everyone's time, but I got some good info for future VIZIO works..

          Thanx again...

So did you take the Voltage readings for future reference?

I do get 24v with the CN202 disconnected from the main video board

                      'Morning,
I get sound and picture when powering on the TV and its stays that EXCEPT that the left half of the screen will dim every few seconds then return to normal while the right side of the screen performs as designed.

Did the soft and hard reset options pulling the plug, using the reet option in the vizio menu to no avail.

I checked the mainboard - found some popped capacitors so replaced it - but that did not change the situation.

I checked the t-con board. It is getting good power. Then I removed one ribbon cable to see if I could isolate...

                      Vizio-D50u-D1 Pulsating Backlights
                      by csmith
This Vizio came in the shop with no backlights. Replaced all the strips with replacement from Shop Jimmy. Set now has backlights but lights pulsate on left side. Half the screen brightens up then goes to normal then repeats.
Am I looking at a defective strip? Thanks in advance.

                      Replacing backlights in Vizio V755-J04
                      by x_orange90_x
I've had this monster for several months as I've hesitated to order backlights for it. Finally did order them and they are due to arrive tomorrow. Besides having ample space to work, are there any recommendations for working on such a massive screen? Should I remove the panel by myself or would 2 people be a better choice? I bought the double-cup suction cups from Harbor Freight and have been using them for the last few repairs on smaller screens. They are far superior to the single cup orange ones I used previously that would often let go without warning 😱.

                      I have not replaced...

Vizio E55-E1 bad backlights or bad inverter?
                      by x_orange90_x
I just got this tv today and it appeared to have no backlight on. After taking off the rear cover and checking again in the dark I can see that MAYBE one quadrant is lit.. But still it's quite dim. I was going to check the LEDs with my tester, and I found LED 1 and LED 2 + pins on the wire from the inverter, but I couldn't identify a ground. Nonetheless I tried using a mounting screw on the inverter board and also the chassis as ground but regardless my tester reads 300 which is what it reads when there is no voltage draw.

I don't know how exactly to test the inverter itself. Is it...

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
                      by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                      Assuming...
