Sony KD-49XD7004 UHD Android 7 Bild Issue

this Sony had very nice Picture, but with vertical thin Line, which from distance cant be noticed at all over all kind of color on screen, it be noticed only when very close to screen.
update firmware done, hard reset done, checking all parameters on service menu done.
take it on the table and disconnected the ribbon cable from T-CON on the side with this line, the half screen became very clear white no line or any pixel fault.
resetting all cable didn't solved the problem. so i think this issue came from the T-CON "" V16_49UHD_SONY MEMC_60Hz_Ver0.4 6871L-4532B 6870C-0598A""

i find one in china just round 20 €, will give try..
did you faced before such vertical thin line issue and it was T-CON fault ?

normally a panel fault in my experience.

as suggested, it is unlikely to be a tcon fault. some have applied "gentle" pressure on the bonded tabs going from the bottom edge board to the panel near / at / closest to the area that the line appears and it may go away. IF so, people use some form of thermal padding to keep the pressure on while reassembling the set / frame. It usually is only a temporary fix as the associate tab is starting to fail and is not repairable / replaceable.

This is a panel fault but you can replace the T-CON Bd if you already have one on order. Those diagonal type lines from my experience are caused by the TABs not making proper contact which would need a Tab Bonding machine to repair.

i think the diagonal lines (if we are talking about the same ones), are part of the screen splash not a fault. the one vertical line is likely a tab issue.

thanks guys , i replaced order of T-COn only after i did the test disconnecting the ribbon cable of the effected side, this effected side became very clear White color with out any line or pixel fault, if the tap fault wouldn't show the same fault at disconcerting the ribbon cable ?

one things more, it show to eyes thin line, but if you more close with loop its much likely confusion line...

this is other photo of working right now from 2 meter far

Look at the T-CON Bd for these test point values (typical):
1. Vin; 5V or 12V
2. Vdd (Vlogic, Vddd): 3.3V
3. Vda (Vs, Vsource, Vdda, Avdd): 14V to 20V
4. Vgh (Vgon, Von, Vddg): 20V to 30V
5. Vgl (Vgoff, Voff, Veeg): -5V to -7V

If any is missing or abnormally high or low then that will point to a bad T0CON Bd. Also too the T-CON Bd. EEPROM IC could be corrupted.
So let's wait until you try the new T-CON Bd.

Today arrived from China the T-CON, went to the customer home and put it on, the line disappeared. also as expected the noise line was from T-CON.

actually if i find the T-CON firmware part "Ver0.4 6871L-4532B " will be easy to flash it again. but here the luck 0. let see how long it will hold normal.
