    Samsung ue50mu6120k

Hi guys been a while since I have asked for help!
Right I have a Samsung ue50mu6120k, when you power it up the screen flashes randomly, the front led goes off and on, I read about leaving it plugged in for 4 hours switched on connected to the internet, hoping it will update but nothing has changed.
I dont know what firmware it's on or anything as I can't get anything up on screen to find out, tried info-menu-mute-power doesn't seem to work. Can I update using a USB stick even though I don't see what I'm clicking?

I have checked voltages and they all work out right, ok if I disconnect the lvds cables from the screen the leds stay on also if I unplug the main from the PSu
I have checked all tab bonds and they look fine no burns and I have checked for shorts on screen pcbs no whilst the screen flashes the 3.5v to the psu drops out and comes back, I have read another user has the same fault after software update so I'm rather hoping that's all it is what do you guys think?
Any help will be great thanks guys

Try unplug tv from internet, unplug tv from outlet, wait 5 minutes, plug tv back in, leaving internet unplugged, see if anything changes, could be some kind of broken loop in an online firmware update attempt, could also try a factory reset while leaving internet unplugged.

Tried that also, I have ordered another main board I'm sure it's not the screen but you just never know, it's still under warranty but I'm not sure if the previous owner had claimed on it I will ask if the board doesn't solve the problem when it gets here, I just thought there was a way of doing an update by USB blind as you can't see the screen I tried info menu mute power to no avail I read somewhere there's an app for a phone with an infa red sender on it to control the tv as if it was a service remote I wouldn't know what I'm clicking though lol
It only cost me £40 so I'm not that worried if it's a gonna

I disconnect the lvds cables from the screen the leds stay on
Can you then hear audio if you raise the sound. May have to try the different inputs.

Also if only one of the cables from the Tcon to the panel is disconnected, will the set come up with half a picture and if not reconnect and then disconnect the other ribbon going to the panel.

(There's no photo of the Tcon so I don't know how many ribbon cables there are to the panel.)
Willing to help but I'm no expert.

You say that with the LVDS cables removed the set stays on so it would be interesting to see if the mainboard is functioning. ie sound.

If it's one of the LVDS cables resetting the set then it may well be a panel fault or one of the capacitors gone faulty on the integrated tcon shorting one of the tcon supplies.

Yes Dick I checked all caps and I'm going to check resistors they are placed as e.g R131 C131 and only one place so its going to be tuff not knowing it's a cap or resistor there was a few that showed up s/c but not sure if they are across anything else lol

                      Thanks Dick

Removed the lvds cables and still not even getting half a screen etc
Starting to think it's a bad panel ?

check the tcon fuse on the panel driver board and the little caps for shorts or very low ohms, could also be bad diodes or other components on the driver board/s, make sure the ribbon and lvds cables are clean and secure. Could try the tape cut-off method, might work , worth a try.

Hello everyone, I’ve just been given a Samsung UE55JU6800K smart tv as it had white spots on the screen due to the led lenses falling off. After refitting them & putting the tv back together I thought it was a nice easy fix for a free bedroom tv , then I tried it before screwing the back into place. I realised that the right side of the screen was darker than the other side, I removed the screen again as I thought the backlights had failed but they are fine.
I put the screen back in place & turned it back on . The screen seemed to be ok again but different screens on the same...

Hi , I've recently replaced the screen in my Samsung galaxy ao2s, at first it wouldn't even turn on, it had the charging symbol on the screen when plugged in but the green circle wasn't going around to show it charging....
Ive eventually managed to get it on and working but it's very temperamental...

The battery icon always reads as 50% , when the phone goes into lock screen mode i sometimes can't get the screen back on unless I plug the charger in to get it to light up, also it keeps putting the camera app on.. u think it could be something to do with the side buttons. ...

                                HI guys!

I've got a Samsung LH82QENELGC/EN with a problem and need some advice and I hope this is the forum to use?
I'm from Norway so I'd like to apology in advance if my description of the fault is kind of simple or the names on the components are way off. 😊

the TV is powering up, working as normally and picture is all good, except a 1.5-inch-wide vertical line of snow/static across the screen.

This TV is a Signage Display/Public Display version and it's been used at my work for 4-5 years showing commercials 24/7. The fault occurred when...

Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

Samsung LC32HG70QQUXEN - vertical and horizontal stripes across the screen
                                by kotel studios
                                Hi,

Just now my Samsung LC32HG70QQUXEN monitor gave up on me. On cold boots I get many vertical stripes going across the screen (see the attached picture). After it runs for 1-2 minutes those go away but there are horizontal stripes going across the whole screen no matter of the input and PCs I use. (couldn't take an picture of it since the image size goes to 20MB and the camera doesn't pick them up)

In a video about a 27" monitor with an similar issue the guy removes one resistor and supposedly the entire monitor goes back to life? For sure this fix is only temporary....
