Question about rectifier diode numbers and identification

Can someone please tell me how to identify a rectifier diode using the numbers printed on it? I'm having a hell of a time and just frustrating the p out of myself

Usually there's no rhyme or reason for any particular number; you could just post it and/or a picture of it, and see if someone could find something about it.

Here's the pic, looks like I need glasses worse than I thought.

I thought the number was W215G, instead its W2156

I found this on Digikey, but they call it a Schottky diode. It looks like mine is marked as a rectifier diode?

It is a dual schottky, common cathode diode. They use a shottkey as a "rectifier" because it has a lower forward voltage drop and are very fast switching. due to the high frequency of smps's

What is wrong with it? Just so you know they do check different than a silicone diode, in diode mode on a meter they read around .2xx where as silicone is .6xx
and if you are measuring a short accross the outside leads you are likely measuring across the transformer winding

I shorted the center and left pins together while powered up
