Motherboard model: L64078-601
So my customer spilled a proteinshake (milkbased) all over his laptop and I'm trying to fix it...
So I've been cleaning and reflowed the power ic which brought back the orange charing light. That's good.
Now I'm getting 20 V into the drain of the first power mosfet but only 8 V on the source and gate. Consequently the next power mosfet has 8 V at the source and something like 1.5 V at the gate.
Seems like a short is drawing voltage right? Any idea how to proceed?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks guy ...

Boardview for iPad Pro 12.9" Gen2 A1671
Hey!
I have a iPad that doesn't start. I tried replacing the Tristar chip and I don't know if I ripped the pad or if it went with the chip but I would really like to know where that pad leads so that I can put a jumper on it.
I have the tristar chip next to the pads oriented as it should be if that helps any.

Thanks for the tip dude. You were close. It was the two output capacitors. I removed them to check the capacitance but my multimeter wasn't able to measure so I soldered them back and then it worked. So it must have been the solder joints.
Anyway looks like it's a good tip in general to check the output capacitors when the output voltage is low....

Yamaha PASC5 X0S-00 E-bike charger 42V only providing 12 V
Hey Guys!
Hoping I can get some help here. I have a e-bike charger with 4 pins on the output. It has a light but the light does not turn on.
When I check the voltage on the 4 pins on one of the pairs I get 12 V. On the other pairs the voltage keeps changing.
Nothing looks damaged and there are no shorts on any of the capacitors. I've ordered a ESR meter to measure the capacitance of the capacitors but it will take a while for the package to arrive.
Any tips?

Huawei Matebook X 2020 no start
Hi guys!
I'm hoping you can help me fix this Huawei laptop. I doesn't power on. Here's the information I have so far.
Model: EUL-W19P
Power draw is 0.1 A
When power is connected, a stepdown regulator ic called 51393p gets hot and nothing else.
Is is possible that the IC is bad? No shorts on the surrounding caps.
Appreciate any help, thanks

Unfortunately it didn't fix the laptop. I'll continue troubleshooting.
But I am curious how you were able to transfer the DMI. Any guide on that or a few words if it's a simple process?
Thanks agian!...

Hi guys. I've got an update
I bought a new CH341A programmer and I could still not read the chips with the clip. So I desoldered the chips and succeeded in backing up both chips!
The size of the chips are 8 Mb and 16 Mb which seems to be correct. I assume this is the main bios and the backup bios.
I've downloaded a BIOS update from Lenovo for my specific laptop and attempted to extract the BIOS.
Can you please help / guide me on how to update the bios on these chips? The laptop won't start and I'm suspecting a corrupt BIOS.

Okay gotcha.
So after much trying I managed to read one chip and it was 16 mb. The other one I can't read at all. It's in the list of NeoProgrammer though. I don't know if my chip reader is bad or if the clips I'm using are a problem.
i might have to order another reader....

I'n sorry but can you dumb it down for me just a little? I don't quite understand your post....

Here are the 3 potential chips on the board. I can only read the Winbond chip with my CH341A chip reader
The image of the Winbond chip is only 1 mb in size.3 Photos

Yes exactly!
Ah of course I have the wrong chip...
Okay I guess it's one with main BIOS and one with backup then? I'll check and upload the two images....

Hi,
Sorry about that. It's really hard to read the metal cover on these.

My problem is that I need a new BIOS to program to the bios chip with CH314A programmer.
In the future I would like to learn how to modify the BIOS but for now I just need the file so that I can fix this laptop.
Thanks

Hi guys I am trying to flash my Lenovo Yoga Slim Pro 7 14IAH7.
I'm trying to follow the instructions here but I'm not doing too well. I tried searching for LENV and found it in the new BIOS file (from .fd) but I can't find it in the existing BIOS file. It might be corrupted. I'll post both BIOS files here in hopes of somebody being able to help me.
Thanks...
